The source base comprises a sealed electrical connection interface and an opposing sealed sleeve interface. The sealed electrical connection interface comprises a electrical contacts and the sealed sleeve interface comprise a radial sealing element, an outer collar, and a compression ring. The UV transparent sleeve is engaged with the sleeve interface such that the radial sealing element of the sealed sleeve interface is disposed between the UV transparent sleeve and the outer collar of the source base, and the compression ring is positioned over the UV transparent sleeve and engaged with the source base to compress the radial sealing element onto the UV transparent sleeve and the outer collar. The UV lamp is disposed within the UV transparent sleeve and electrically coupled to the electrical contacts of the electrical connection interface.

POWER GENERATING AND WATER PURIFYING SYSTEM

A power generating and water purifying system. The system includes a closed loop power generator, a closed loop heat exchanger, and a closed loop water purifier. Hot brine water vapor travels from a reactor to a turbine, which generates electricity. The hot brine water vapor is then cooled by the closed loop heat exchanger and travels back to the reactor. The electricity powers generators. The electricity further powers an ammonia pump and a coolant compressor of the closed loop heat exchanger. Dirty water enters through a water inlet and is chilled by the closed loop heat exchanger. The water is then directed to a hot water accumulator, in which the water is heated by the closed loop heat exchanger. The water is vaporized by a hot plate and a UV light source. The distilled water is then cooled in a cooling tower and delivered to water tower as purified water.

The method includes treating a source of brackish desalination brine with an ultraviolet-driven persulfate photolysis oxidation pre-treatment; treating the source of brackish desalination brine treated with the ultraviolet-driven persulfate photolysis oxidation pre-treatment to a chemical demineralization process; treating the source of brackish desalination brine treated with the ultraviolet-driven persulfate photolysis oxidation pre-treatment and with the chemical demineralization process to a microfiltration process; and treating the source of brackish desalination brine treated to the ultraviolet-driven persulfate photolysis oxidation pre-treatment, the chemical demineralization process, and the microfiltration process to a reverse osmosis treatment.

A composite water purification apparatus and method thereof are provided. The composite water purification apparatus includes a container, a sacrificial anode, a photocatalyst anode and a cathode. The container is employed for receiving liquid including water and gas. The photocatalyst anode includes a photocatalyst for conducting a photocatalytic reaction. The cathode is electrolyzed with the sacrificial anode and the photocatalyst anode. The cathode, the sacrificial anode, and the photocatalyst anode are immersed in the container to contact the liquid. The present invention enhances the purity of the water, while prolonging the service life of the sacrificial anode.
