SANITIZING WASTEWATER
20200079671 · 2020-03-12 ·

Wastewater is received at an inlet of a nested coil of tubing. The nested coil of tubing includes an outer coil of tubing and at least one inner coil of tubing. The nested coil of tubing includes at least one of protrusions or filaments within an interior of the nested coil of tubing. The filaments or protrusions are radially arranged within an interior of the tubing, and microbial growth that is configured to treat the wastewater is disposed on at least portions of the interior. The wastewater is flowed through the nested coil of tubing. The microbial growth treats the wastewater to remove at least portions of sanitary waste in the wastewater. The treated wastewater is flowed through an outlet of the nested coil of tubing.

Water treatment reactor

A reactor for treating water, the reactor comprising a buoyant structure for supporting at least one cell for suspension in a body of water in use, wherein each cell is removeably attachable to the buoyant structure and is arranged to house biomedia. A water treatment system comprising the reactor in a body of water. A method of treating water comprising passing water to be treated through the reactor in a body of water.

BIOREFINERY METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ISOLATED ENVIRONMENTS

A Biorefinery System (BIOSYS) that effectively treats all human activity-derived waste (black water, grey water, and food waste streams) using biological systems and that produces as process by-products: recovered potable water, liberated free oxygen, edible protein cake (with and without lipids), soil amendments, and machinery lube oils. Additionally, the system captures and chemically binds carbon dioxide into microbial cells and associated by-products, thus producing recovered usable returned cabin air.

Mobile Rhamnolipid Contamination Response
20200031690 · 2020-01-30 ·

Our mobile rhamnolipid production vehicles can convert pollutants obtained from contaminated sites into rhamnolipid. Then, our mobile rhamnolipid application units can alter, treat and remove pollutants from soil and water. Our new rhamnolipid application can use various sources for power. All these new components combined are cost efficient. Moreover, the mobile rhamnolipid contamination response vehicles are easy to mobilize and can be deployed and up and running with a short amount of time and effort.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a bioreactor, a floating bioremediation platform system, and a process for reducing sulfates, in surface water.

Mobile wastewater treatment system
10501357 · 2019-12-10 ·

A mobile wastewater treatment system wherein a mobile carrier has mounted thereon a wastewater treatment plant. The wastewater treatment plant has a flow equalization tank, an aeration tank, a clarifying tank, a disinfection stage, and a pumping tank. The mobile carrier can be a trailer, a skid, a shipping container, or the like.

Water treatment system and method

A water treatment system comprising a first reactor and a second reactor arranged to be placed in series in a body of water, the first and/or second reactor comprising at least one cell for housing biomedia. A mid-settling zone is provided between the first and second reactors for separating solids in the water. A method of treating water, the method comprising passing water to be treated through a first reactor and then a second reactor arranged in series in a body of water, the first and/or second reactors comprising at least one cell for housing biomedia, wherein the water is passed through a mid-settling zone between the first and second reactors before passing through the second reactor.

System and method for cleaning and sterilizing a water flow

A system for cleaning and sterilizing a water flow comprises a main treatment line with a pump to pump water from a water storage, a main filter, a sterilizing station and a system outlet. The main filter is provided with a first filter element and a backflush member to rinse the first filter element with backflush water. The secondary treatment line connects to an outlet of the backflush member, and has a backflush filter to remove silt from the backflush water. The main filter is designed such that the pressure difference over the first filter element is at least 0.1 bar (10 kPa) and the backflush filter is designed such that the pressure difference over the backflush filter element is less than 0.05 bar (5 kPa).

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DE-OILING A FEED OF OIL AND WATER
20190315635 · 2019-10-17 ·

A method and system for de-oiling a feed comprising oil and water. The feed has an input temperature above the boiling point of water and an input pressure sufficient to maintain the water in a liquid state. In at least one embodiment, the method comprises pumping the feed with a motive pump through a phase separator having a restriction to effect a phase separation of oil and water in the feed and produce an agitated mixture, supplying the agitated mixture from the phase separator into a pressure vessel operating at a pressure sufficient to maintain in a liquid state water that is at a temperature above the boiling point of water, removing an oil phase from the pressure vessel, and removing a water phase from the pressure vessel.
