Cooperative learning system and monitoring system
A cooperative learning system usable for process monitoring in which a monitoring model is provided for each of plural processes arranged in chronological order at predetermined transition time period intervals. The system stores, in chronological order, first monitoring data in a first process, second monitoring data in a second process, and at least one monitoring result from the first process output from a first monitoring model using the first monitoring data as an input parameter. The system performs parent model learning processing for the first monitoring model using the first monitoring data and the monitoring result from the first monitoring model, and performs child model learning processing for a second monitoring model using a monitoring result from the first monitoring model at a first time as teacher data and using the second monitoring data at a second time shifted from the first time by a transition period as an input parameter.
Automated methods and systems for optimized zeta potential chemical dosing in water treatment systems
The disclosure provides automated methods and systems for optimized dosing of chemicals, such as coagulants, acids, and/or bases, in water treatment processes. The methods and systems of the disclosure can provide a coagulant dosing regimen that mitigates turbidity and organic contaminant content while maintaining effective floc precipitation, agglomeration, and settling without significant human intervention.
AUTOMATED PERMEABILITY TEST FOR A FILTER BASKET
A method for automated cleaning of a filter basket in a bioreactor includes determining permeability of the filter basket. A control unit controls a suction unit for suctioning a residual liquid from the liquid tank, a liquid metering unit for dispensing a liquid having a predetermined liquid volume into the filter basket controls the suction unit to empty the liquid tank by suctioning a filtered liquid volume, measures the volume of the suctioned liquid volume, and sending a first measurement signal to the control unit. The control unit determines a permeability quotient from the volume of the extracted filtered liquid volume to the volume of the dispensed predetermined liquid volume and compares the permeability quotient with a permeability threshold. The control unit then controls a cleaning unit to perform a cleaning process of the filter basket if the permeability quotient is below the permeability threshold.
Rotating Spray Device for Water Distribution on Media Bed of a Biofilter
A biofilter irrigation system comprises a cylindrical vessel having a central axis, a media bed positioned within the vessel, a spray head system positioned above the media bed, the spray head system comprising a central hub positioned at the central axis of the vessel, at least one arm extending distally from the central hub toward a wall of the vessel and configured to rotate about the central axis, and a plurality of nozzles connected to the at least one arm. The biofilter irrigation system further comprises a fluid outlet positioned below the media bed.
FLUORESCENCE DETECTION OF SULFITE IN WATER TREATMENT APPLICATIONS
The amount of sulfite in water can be determined using fluorescence by adding to the water a fluorophore compound, measuring a fluorescence signal of the water, and determining the amount of the sulfite in the water based on the measured fluorescence signal. This method can be used in a water treatment system in which a sulfite solution is added to treat the water, and the amount of sulfite that is added can be controlled based on the measured fluorescence of the water.
Method and system for the treatment of cyanide-containing fluids
A method and system for treating cyanide-containing fluids, in particular cyanide-containing waste water, wherein cyanide-containing fluid is subject to a pretreatment in a pretreatment zone, in which at least one predetermined pH value and a predetermined temperature is set, wherein a base fluid is formed with the pretreatment. Base fluid is reacted at least with an oxidation means in at least one reaction reactor, whereby an oxidation reaction of the cyanide is initiated. Fluid from the reaction reactor is transferred as intermediate fluid into at least one process reactor, in which conditions exist in which the oxidation reaction of the cyanide initiated in the reaction reactor can take place, wherein a process fluid is formed. A continuous flow of fluid is maintained at least periodically, wherein the base fluid is transferred continuously from the pretreatment zone into the reaction reactor, intermediate fluid is transferred continuously from the reaction reactor into the process reactor, and process fluid is removed continuously from the process reactor.
Silver ion biocide delivery system
A system and method for delivering silver ion biocide is described herein. The systems described relate to passing water from a water system through a silver ion release module and optional high-concentration silver ion release module. The system includes an analyzer, detector, and/or controller for monitoring the concentration of silver ion and adjusting the flow path, flow rate, temperature and/or pH of the water in order to obtain the desired concentration of silver ion. The system optionally includes other metal ions released into a water system, the concentration of which may be used to automatically calibrate the described system and/or cause the system to take actions based on the measured concentration of silver ion or of the second metal ion.
Systems and Methods for Treating Wastewater
The present disclosure pertains to a system configured to prepare and use prediction models for controlling contaminants of a liquid. Some embodiments may: sense, via a sensor, a magnified image of a sample of the liquid; identify at least one shape in the image; determine a relative predominance of microscopic life forms within at least a portion of the image; and generate a report indicating any required corrective action based on the identification and the determination.
Methods and systems for streaming current analyzer calibration and reporting
Disclosed are methods and systems that facilitate more accurate measurement of the turbidity, i.e., insoluble ion content, of source water streams in water treatment processes, and in turn more accurate dosing of metal salt coagulants to cause these insoluble ions to floc and precipitate from the source water stream. Methods and systems for calibration of streaming current sensors used for such turbidity/insoluble ion content measurement are also disclosed.
