Method for accurate positioning and in-situ treatment of pollutants at sediment-water interface
The present application relates to the technical field of water environment governance, and particularly discloses a method for accurate positioning and in-situ treatment of pollutants at a sediment-water interface. In the method, high-throughput sequencing technology and pollutant source apportionment technology are firstly used to perform accurate positioning on the sediment to be controlled, and then electrodialysis-vacuum negative pressure dewatering technology is used to perform in-situ dewatering treatment on the sediment to be controlled, thereby realizing accurate governance with the minimum desilting amount. In the present application, in further cooperation with the application of microbial reagents, the microbial flora environment of the sediment-water interface is regulated, thereby increasing the dewatering speed of the sediment.

The present disclosure pertains to a system configured to prepare and use prediction models for controlling contaminants of a liquid. Some embodiments may: sense, via a sensor, a magnified image of a sample of the liquid; identify at least one shape in the image; determine a relative predominance of microscopic life forms within at least a portion of the image; and generate a report indicating any required corrective action based on the identification and the determination.
METHODS OF MICROBIAL CONTROL
In some embodiments, a method may include reducing the microbial load in contaminated water of water recycle loops. These water recycling loops may include pulp and paper mills, cooling towers and water loops, evaporation ponds, feedstock processing systems and/or non-potable water systems. The methods may include providing a peracetate oxidant solution. The peracetate solution may include peracetate anions and a peracid. In some embodiments, the peracetate solution may include a pH from about pH 10 to about pH 12. In some embodiments, the peracetate solution has a molar ratio of peracetate anions to peracid ranging from about 60:1 to about 6000:1. In some embodiments, the peracetate solution has a molar ratio of peracetate to hydrogen peroxide of greater than about 16:1. The peracetate solution may provide bleaching, sanitizing and/or disinfection of contaminated water and surfaces. The peracetate oxidant solution may provide enhanced separation of microbes from contaminated water.
PREDICTIVE MODEL FOR WATER QUALITY DETERIORATION
An embodiment provides a method of forecasting water quality deterioration in a water distribution system, including: receiving, at an electronic device, a data set comprising measured values of a plurality of components within the water distribution system; determining, based upon algorithmic analysis of the measured values, a water quality index; and providing, based on the determined water quality index, a recommendation to mitigate water quality deterioration in the water distribution system. Other aspects are described and claimed.
