Centrifugal pump pet water fountain
A pet water fountain is described comprising a bowl for holding an aqueous drinking fluid. The pet water fountain includes a housing configured to cover a portion of the bowl and have a fluid reservoir. The pet water fountain includes a rotatable cone positioned within the housing, the cone tapering outwardly from a bottom end to a top end, the bone bottom end having a fluid inlet to allow the passage of fluid from the bowl through the inlet and into the interior of the conde, the cone top end being in fluid communication with the housing fluid reservoir. The pet water fountain includes a filter ring coupled to the cone top end, the filter ring having an exterior housing and a filter media positioned within the exterior housing, and an electric motor coupled to the rotatable cone for rotatably driving the rotatable cone.
Ion exchange cartridge for treating drinking water
A cartridge for treating drinking water, comprising two chambers, wherein one chamber is filled with a highly acidic ion-exchange material and another chamber is filled with a weakly acidic ion-exchange material, wherein one of the ion-exchange materials is loaded with alkali ions or alkaline earth ions.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPTIMIZATION OF AN ION EXCHANGE SYSTEM
Systems and methods are disclosed for utilizing lead-lag configurations with ion exchange systems to increase process efficiency, increase media utilization, and reduce system downtime.
Film Bonded Flatpack
A membrane-based separation device comprises multiple interconnected flat sheets of membrane bonded to a flexible film. The bonded films are bonded in a way to create an accordion or zig-zag shape. In certain embodiments, the first or upstream layer is affixed to a suitable housing, and the last or most downstream layer is also affixed to the suitable housing. The housing may contain an inlet port for the introduction of sample, and an outlet port for the removal of filtered sample. Flow through the segments is in parallel. Since the membranes are not folded or pleated, higher performance membranes (e.g., polysulfone based membranes with some degree of asymmetry) than those usable in pleated or folded systems can be used.
Radium removal from aqueous media using zeolite materials
Systems and methods are provided for the removal and disposal of radium form an aqueous medium. The systems and methods include the removal of radium from a source by contact with either natural or synthetic zeolite. The spent zeolite is monitored for radiation levels and replaced with fresh zeolite when the level of radioactivity reaches approximately 9,000 pCi/g. Spent zeolite is disposed of at a low-level radioactive waste site. A system for monitoring and maintaining radium removal and disposal by an off-site provided is also disclosed.
Integrated power system
An exemplary power system utilizes turbines configured within a water intake conduit to the desalination processor to produce power for the desalination processor. Water intakes are configured to provide a natural flow of water to the desalination processor though hydrostatic pressure. One or more turbines coupled with the water intake conduits are driven and produce power for the system. The desalination processor incorporates Graphene filters to and may include a structured water system to increase the H3O2 concentration of the water prior to Graphene filters. Discharge water may be pumped back into the body of water but be separated from the intakes. A secondary power source, such as a renewable power source, may be used to produce supplemental power for the system. Power produced may be provided to a secondary outlet, such as a power grid, all above and/or underground.
Water treatment systems and methods of treating water
A water treatment system includes: a first vessel having adsorbent materials that form a filtering bed; a second vessel in fluid communication with the first vessel and which includes adsorbent materials that form a filtering bed; an underdrain collection system having ring headers formed below the first and second vessel; a liquid control system in fluid communication with the first vessel, the second vessel, and the underdrain collection system; adsorbent material influent lines; water wash-down lines; raw water lines; and adsorbent material effluent lines, each adsorbent material effluent line having an inlet attached to a bottom of the first or second vessel and an outlet that extends out from the first or second vessel and which is positioned above the ring headers of the underdrain collection system.
PLANT AND PROCESS FOR SEPARATING AMMONIA AND CARBON DIOXIDE CONTAINING WASTEWATER STREAM TO CONCENTRATED AQUEOUS AMMONIA SOLUTION AND PURIFIED WASTEWATER STREAM
A process of treating a wastewater stream containing an ammonia and carbon dioxide comprising: feeding the wastewater stream into a carbon dioxide degasser column; withdrawing a gaseous carbon dioxide rich stream as a first overhead fraction and a liquid carbon dioxide depleted stream as the first bottom fraction from the carbon dioxide degasser column; feeding the liquid carbon dioxide depleted stream into an ammonia stripper column; withdrawing a gaseous ammonia rich stream as a second overhead fraction and a purified wastewater stream containing at most 1,000 ppm dissolved ammonia as a second bottom fraction from the ammonia stripper column; feeding the gaseous ammonia rich stream and separately therefrom water into a quencher column; and withdrawing a gaseous vent gas stream as a third overhead fraction and the concentrated aqueous ammonia solution containing at least 5% by weight of dissolved ammonia as a third bottom fraction from the quencher column.
REACTOR FOR HYDROTHERMAL CARBONIZATION WITH OPTIMIZED MIXTURE OF SLUDGE AND STEAM
Disclosed is a reactor for treating, particularly by hydrothermal carbonization, sludge containing organic matter, including, with: a vessel (100) including an inner chamber arranged to receive the sludge and to form a path of travel for the sludge adapted to allow for circulation of the sludge, a sludge inlet (1) arranged to introduce the sludge into a sludge introduction area of the inner chamber, a sludge outlet (11) arranged to discharge at least part of the sludge contained in the inner chamber, and a steam inlet (3) arranged to inject steam in a steam injection zone of the inner chamber along a steam injection direction, the steam injection direction being different from a sludge circulation direction in the steam injection zone along the circulation path, the steam injection zone being separated from the sludge introduction zone.
REVERSE OSMOSIS WITH RECTIFICATION
Two or more reverse osmosis filtration units are assembled together such that rectification of the retentate and permeate streams is provided.
