MICROBICIDAL COMPOSITION
A synergistic microbicidal composition comprising a hydroxymethyl-substituted phosphorus compound and nitrate, a method for inhibiting the growth of microorganisms in an aqueous medium.
Energy efficient low-fouling high-recovery reverse osmosis system for brackish water desalination
A novel multi-stage reverse osmosis system is proposed that allows for following benefits a) reduction in pressure-loss while achieving optimum cross-flow velocities and therefore reducing energy consumption of 4-10%; b) increased flux balance between stages resulting in reduced fouling of the first stage; c) disruption of scale forming conditions resulting in reduced scaling of the last stage; d) reduction in scale potential of the concentrate valve; e) reduction in downtime for CIP by proactively disrupting scaling or fouling through several innovative methods; f) ease-of and effectiveness-of CIP with reduced number of valves and g) to keep system operational via isolation of the last stage for maintenance while the keeping remaining system in production mode. All the above improvements are achieved with process-flow and operational characteristics defined in the Specifications and Claims.
Water treatment system
A water treatment system having an inlet for receiving water to be treated and a manifold that defines a pair of fluid streams communicating with the inlet. A valve module carried by the manifold controls the communication of water at the inlet with treatment cartridges and with a common outlet. The valve module includes a valve member that is movable between two positions such that, in one position, the valve member communicates each fluid stream with an associated cartridge and, in a second position, communicates the inlet with the common outlet and bypasses the cartridges. A remotely mounted cartridge depletion indicator is provided that includes a linkage that is magnetically coupled to a stem assembly located within a flow metering mechanism. Movement in the internal stem assembly is transferred via the magnetically coupled external linkage to a cartridge depletion indicator visible to the operator.
Electrolytic liquid generation device
An electrolytic liquid generation device according to the present disclosure includes an electrolytic part and a housing in which the electrolytic part is disposed. The electrolytic part has a laminate including mutually adjacent electrodes and a conductive film interposed between the electrodes. The electrolytic part electrolyzes a liquid. The housing includes an electrode case having a recess with an opening to enable insertion of the electrolytic part through the opening and to contain the electrolytic part in the recess, and an electrode case lid to cover the opening of the electrode case. The electrolytic part is contained in the recess such that lamination direction Z of the laminate is substantially aligned with a direction in which the opening opens. This configuration provides an electrolytic liquid generation device that can be built with improved facility.
WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
A water treatment system having a base assembly and a treatment assembly. The treatment assembly of the system may be configured to filter particulates from water. The base assembly may include a UV reactor operable to disinfect water for consumption.
PROCESS FOR A FIXED FILM REACTOR AND APPARATUS RELATED THERETO
Exemplary embodiments describe apparatuses and related processes for improving mixing and sheer in a fixed film reactor. One process can include recycling at least a portion of a biogas product through at least one sparger below a fixed film zone in the fixed film reactor at conditions sufficient for mixing and sheering the film from an internal structure within the fixed film zone. Often, a cross-sectional area of the fixed film zone fills at least about 90% of a cross-sectional area of the fixed film reactor.
Aeration Diffuser System, Wastewater Treatment System Including Same, and Associated Monitoring Method
An aeration diffuser system includes an air inlet conduit defining an orifice, an air plenum coupled to the air inlet conduit at the orifice, such that the air plenum and the air inlet conduit are in fluid communication, a diffuser secured to a top of the air plenum, and a plurality of pressure transducers including a first pressure transducer at least partially located inside the air inlet conduit, and a second pressure transducer at least partially located inside the air plenum.
A PORT ARRANGEMENT, A PURIFIED WATER PRODUCING APPARATUS COMPRISING THE PORT ARRANGEMENT AND A METHOD FOR PERFORMING PORT CLEANING OF A PURIFIED WATER PRODUCING APPARATUS
A port arrangement (1) comprising a fluid module (2) incorporating a first port (3) arranged to receive a first connector (4) and a second port (5) arranged to receive a second connector (6). The first port (3) provides a first circumferential space (3c) around a first tube (3a). The second port (5) provides a second circumferential space (5c) around a second tube (5c). The fluid module (2) further incorporates a bypass channel (7) connecting the first circumferential space (3c) and the circumferential second space (5c). The port arrangement (1) further comprises a door (20) comprising a first seal (21) and a second seal (22) arranged to seal the first circumferential space (3c) and the second circumferential space (5c) against the outside. The disclosure also relates to a purified water producing apparatus (100) comprising the port arrangement (1), and a method for performing port cleaning of the water producing apparatus (100).
