Cavitation apparatus, configured to perform multiple simultaneous cavitations
10864495 · 2020-12-15 ·

A cavitation apparatus capable of performing multiple, different-type cavitation processes taking place simultaneously in the same geometric space, thereby obtaining an effective cavitation process that is significantly faster than those provided by conventional cavitation apparatus. The cavitation apparatus can include consecutive and/or simultaneous cavitation units which are configured to carry out consecutive and/or simultaneous cavitation processes on a material flowing through the apparatus, such that effects of one or more prior cavitation processes are present in the material while the material is subjected to one or more further cavitation processes within the apparatus, enhancing the cavitation effects in a reduced amount of time and increasing productivity of the apparatus. In some embodiments, the apparatus can perform seven cavitation processes, of four different types.

METHOD FOR RETAINING AMMONIA NITROGEN AND REMOVING ANTIBIOTICS IN BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT OF LIVESTOCK WASTEWATER

A method for retaining ammonia nitrogen and removing antibiotics in biological treatment of livestock wastewater is provided. A nitrification inhibitor is added into an aerobic bioreactor with a sludge age greater than or equal to 30 days to inhibit the activity of nitrifying bacteria. The nitrification inhibitor is preferably 2-chloro-6-(trichloromethyl)pyridine or allylthiourea. By adding a chemical agent capable of inhibiting the activity of nitrifying bacteria into the aerobic biological treatment unit for treating livestock and poultry farming wastewater, the occurrence of ammonia nitrogen nitrification is inhibited without sacrificing the degradation of COD and antibiotics by heterotrophic bacteria, so that the aims of retaining ammonia nitrogen while removing antibiotics are realized.

A system for processing red mud comprising: a first heating section controlled to heat red mud to a first temperature; a second heating section controlled to heat the red mud to a second temperature lower than the first temperature; a crusher configured to grind the red mud to a predetermined particle size; and one or more separators for physically extracting at least iron and aluminum from the red mud.

Continuous, approximately real-time residential wastewater treatment system and apparatus
10843952 · 2020-11-24 ·

A system and apparatus configured to facilitate on-site treatment of wastewater from a residence is described. The system is configured to immediately treat wastewater as it is generated, on an as-needed basis, and works to remove undissolved down solids and reduce dissolved materials concentrations to a uniform level prior to transmission of the wastewater to municipal waste water treatment facilities and/or any non-drinking application. The system employs a two-stage treatment apparatus where the first stage is configured to pre-grind and decompose undissolved solids of the wastewater and the second to reduce dissolved materials concentrations. The first stage uses turbidity meters, and the second stage uses pH, BOD and conductivity to ensure a uniform output from each stage. A fast decomposer has rotating filters which operational modes ensure that the filters do not become clogged with solids in a cake form simultaneously.

ANAEROBIC DIGESTION OF ORGANIC FRACTION OF SOLID WASTE WITH HIGH QUALITY DIGESTATE
20200354250 · 2020-11-12 ·

Organic solid waste is pressed at a high pressure to separate the solid waste into a dry fraction and a wet fraction. The wet fraction is diluted and floatables (i.e. pieces of plastic and/or paper) in the wet fraction are comminuted. The wet fraction is then de-gritted before being sent to an anaerobic digester. Digestate is withdrawn from the digester from a free liquid surface of the digester. The digestate is filtered to extract comminuted floatables. The resulting filtrate is then composted or directly applied to land. A corresponding system comprises a press, a grinder, a hydrocyclone, an anaerobic digester, a filter and a dewaterer.

Dissolved air flotation system

The present disclosure relates to a dissolved air flotation system using ambient air, and more particularly, to a dissolved air flotation system that is capable of allowing ambient air to be introduced in front of a pump to generate micro air bubbles with the water discharged from the pump, so that the ambient air may be used instead of compressed air.

DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR WATER TREATMENT

The invention is an apparatus for preparing a chemical solution. A device of the present invention includes a housing including a lower chamber and an upper chamber and a dissolving bowl arranged at an interface of the lower chamber and upper chamber. The dissolving bowl includes a grid disposed within. Solid, undissolved chemical material rests on a top surface of the grid, such that the grid is able to maintain physical separation of the solid, undissolved chemical material from at least a bottom portion of the dissolving bowl. The device further includes a nozzle disposed within the dissolving bowl and positioned so as to direct flow of aqueous fluid into the dissolving bowl and towards the grid. The dissolving bowl further includes an outlet in fluid communication with the lower chamber to thereby allow for a prepared chemical solution to flow from the dissolving bowl into the lower chamber.

DYNAMIC PRODUCED WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS AND SYSTEM WITH OXYGEN RECOVERY
20200339452 · 2020-10-29 ·

An automated produced water treatment system that injects ozone or an ozone-oxygen mixture upstream of produced water separators, with the dose rate changing dynamically as the produced water quality changes, as determined by continuous monitoring of the produced water quality by a plurality of sensors that detect water quality parameters in real time. The system may operate as a slipstream injection system, that draws a portion of produced water from the produced water pipeline and injects ozone or an ozone-oxygen mixture back into the pipeline without disrupting or slowing normal operations. Disinfectants or other additives may also be injected. The treatment system may be wholly or partially contained in mobile containers or trailers, for on-the-fly use in existing produced water treatment facilities. An oxygen de-gasser or de-aerator may be included, configured to remove gaseous oxygen from the fluid stream

CLEAN-IN-PLACE USING ULTRASOFT WATER
