Inlet baffle assembly for an in-line interceptor

There is an inlet baffle assembly for use in an in-line interceptor for separating FOG from wastewater and a method of cleaning the inlet baffle assembly without the need for removal from the interceptor. The inlet baffle assembly has an inlet baffle for the grease collecting chamber of an in-line interceptor which defines a flow channel through which influent enters the collecting chambers and has a moveable section moveable between open and closed positions. The inlet baffle assembly also has a flow control element to control the rate of flow of influent entering the flow channel when the moveable section is in the closed position. The flow control element is accessible for cleaning when the moveable section is in the open position. After cleaning, the moveable section is moved into the closed position to facilitate fluid flowing through the inlet baffle assembly into the grease collecting chamber.

Apparatus for capturing and destroying hair within a shower drain

A system for capturing and destroying hair and waste within a shower drain includes a basket placed in the drain which holds a rod including an enzyme blend. The basket captures hair or waste that is washed down shower drains The enzyme blend neutralizes the hair or waste. The result is a clear drain and clear plumbing, with minimal manual labor. The basket does not require removal because the hair and waste are neutralized before a clog can develop. The enzyme blend is safer for both users and the plumbing systems treated than conventional drain cleaning chemicals.

UNIT FOR TREATING FLOWING LIQUID

A unit (8) is intended for treating waste water. It includes a well (9) with an inlet conduit connector (21) and with an outlet conduit connector (22) at the outside of the well (9). The unit further includes a connecting conduit (20) inside the well (9). The connecting conduit (20) connects the inlet conduit connector (21) to the outlet conduit connector (22). There is at least one storage tank (13) inside the well (9) for a liquid chemical and a metering pump (18) inside the well (9) for pumping the chemical from the storage tank (13) into the connecting conduit (20). A control device (23) activates the metering pump according to a signal of a sensor (24) which senses a quantity of chemical element in the liquid flowing through the conduit (20).

Method of controlling addition rate of an odor control chemical

A method of controlling addition rate of an odor control chemical to a wastewater line by adding odor control chemical to the wastewater. The method includes measuring a level of dissolved sulfides in the wastewater line using a sulfide probe placed in said wastewater line, transferring data on the level of dissolved sulfides to a computing unit, determining a required odor control chemical addition rate in said computing unit based on said level of dissolved sulfides, and adding the odor control chemical at said required addition rate. The method allows for accurate on-line control of the level of H.sub.2S in the wastewater line.

Automatic control system for dosing chemicals to a sewer system

A process and system for determining injection rate of treatment chemicals to eliminate or reduce downstream noxious gas emissions in a wastewater collection system. The process and system provides for treatment chemical injection at a pumping station or directly on a force main wherein dosage is calculated based on current and historical data relative to the pumping station.

There is provided a removable downspout filter for installation into a downspout. The removable downspout filter includes a filter basket with attached face plate. The face plate includes side flaps configured to wrap around the downspout when the downspout filter is installed and is generally configured to blend in with the downspout. Also provided is a downspout with installed filter and kits including the same.

Method and system for management of sewer waste

Method and system for treatment of a wastewater stream at a location is disclosed. The wastewater stream includes a floating waste component such as sewer FOG or oil and an aqueous component such as water. The wastewater stream is directed from the location to a separator through an intake which is fluidly connected to the location and the separator. The separator separates the floating waste component from the aqueous component. The separated floating waste component is directed to a floating waste discharge outlet associated with the separator and the separated aqueous component is directed to an aqueous discharge outlet associated with the separator.
