FLEXIBLE FABRIC RIBBON CONNECTORS FOR GARMENTS WITH SENSORS AND ELECTRONICS
Elastic electrical connectors that may be incorporated into a garment to connect multiple electrical components in the garment. These electrical connectors are typically long strips of fabric substrate to which wires are attached along a length of one side in a sinusoidal or zig-zag pattern. The connector may also include an adhesive coating on one side to secure it to a fabric. The wires are electrically insulated, which may be a thermoremovable insulation (e.g., a polyurethane having a melting point of <400 C.). The wires may be attached to the surface of the fabric strip by a stitch at each peak and trough of the sinusoidal or zig-zag pattern with a length between peak and trough stitches between about 1 mm and 15 mm.
DUST HOOD
A dust hood is provided having a front face of an inelastic material and a rear face of the inelastic material. The front face has a first opening configured to correspond to a location of a user's eye protection when worn by the user. The front face also has a primary breathing opening configured to correspond to a respirator hose or respirator air intake location when worn by a user. The dust hood openings each comprise a gasket for sealing the corresponding openings against corresponding accessories. Accordingly, the first opening gasket seals the hood against a user's eye protection and the second opening gasket seals the primary breathing opening against a user's respirator hose or respirator air intake.
Skin protecting garment
A skin protecting garment includes a back panel, a lower front panel coupled to the back panel, and an upper front panel coupled to the back panel. An upward facing opening is formed by the back panel and the upper front panel. The upward facing opening is dimensioned, shaped and positioned to expose a top of a user's head. A forward facing slit is between the lower front panel and the upper front panel. The forward facing slit is dimensioned, shaped and positioned to expose the user's eyes. The back panel, the lower front panel and the upper front panel are each formed of a material configured to block ultraviolet (UV) light.
SENSORIZED GARMENTS
A sensorized garment (1) comprising; an under helmet hood (2) made of a textile material, which can be worn to cover at least the head and neck of an individual; at least one textile pressure sensor (3) and at least one textile deformation sensor (4) incorporated in the under helmet hood (2) and configured to contact the body surface of the individual, each pressure sensor (3) being configured to detect a pressure value to thereby generate a first signal according to the detected pressure value, each deformation sensor (4) being configured to detect a deformation value to thereby generate a second signal according to the detected deformation value; a control unit (5) in signal communication with each pressure sensor (3) and with each deformation sensor (4) for receiving the first signal and the second signal respectively, the control unit (5) being configured to generate an alarm signal when the value of at least one of the first signal and the second signal exceeds a respective preset threshold value.

Respiratory filtering fabric and garment made therefrom
An enhanced filtration multilayer laminated fabric includes an air permeable, moisture-vapor-transmissive central layer such as polytetra-fluoroethylene (ePTFE) sandwiched between a first pair of nonwoven textile layers and a second pair of woven textile layers. The laminated fabric may also feature a fire resistant application. The top textile layer may also include a permanent, highly breathable and highly durable electro-static discharge feature added to the inside of the layer by laying down a carbon based printed pattern on the inside of the layer. The filtration fabric may be utilized to manufacture a wearable garment that is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to wear in all weather conditions and which effectively filters airborne particulates from entering a user's respiratory system by blocking particulates having a size of 0.3 microns and larger from inhaled air for a user's respiratory system with a particle blocking efficiency of at least 90%.
RESPIRATORY FILTERING FABRIC AND GARMENT MADE THEREFROM
