This disclosure relates to a shower cap that includes various features for protecting users' hair and maintaining user comfort during bathing and other activities. The shower cap includes a waterproof hood that fits over a user's head to cover the user's head and keep the user's head and hair dry. A hair pocket at least partially surrounds or receives a gathered portion of the user's hair. A brim and a skirt may direct a flow of water on the surface of the waterproof hood away from the user's face and downward toward the user's torso. A flexible headband may be positioned between the waterproof hood and the user's head and secures the waterproof hood to the user's head.

Disclosed is a disposable hair conditioning cap to facilitate deep hair conditioning. The disposable hair conditioning cap may include a plurality of fabric layers conforming to a crown of a user. Further, the disposable hair conditioning cap may include at least one heating element disposed within at least one of the plurality of fabric layers. Further, the at least one heating element is configured to generate heat based on contact of the at least one heating element with at least one activating substance.

An apparatus and methods are provided for a water-resistant hair pouch that is secure, lightweight, easy to use, and capable of preventing tangles and water damage often encountered due to recreational swimming in pools, water parks, lakes, oceans, and the like. The water-resistant hair pouch comprises a pouch that tapers from an opening to an apex. The opening provides access to a water-resistant cavity inside the pouch. An elastic loop coupled with the pouch, adjacent to the opening, is configured to be wrapped around a ponytail that is inserted through the opening into the water-resistant cavity. A drawstring facilitates cinching the opening around the base of the ponytail to minimize water exposure to the hair, or maintain a dry state of the hair, during immersion in water. Straps are attached to opposite sides of the pouch to enable a practitioner to secure the ponytail within a folded configuration of the pouch.

One or more embodiments of an elongated swim cap concavity (11a) having expandable walls (11) with flexible pleats (11b) above a draw cord sleeve (13) or (17) containing a draw cord (14) with knotted draw cord ends (15) and attached draw cord accessories (18) extending from draw cord sleeve openings (16) at the back and above an elastic ribbed perimeter band (12) with a plurality of grooved channels with ear notches (12a). These aspects provide a swim cap that accommodates various hair types, particularly thick, curly, long, kinky, coarse, voluminous and/or high-maintenance hair and/or chemically treated hair and/or braids, rolled locks or dreadlocks to establish and maintain a water-tight seal, a secure and stable fit, and a streamlined profile. The second and a third piece of the upper portion are joined to one another with stitching along a second vertical seam. The lower and upper portions are comprised of a substantially waterproof material.
