The fasteners are attached to the device separately form the garment, and are arranged to fasten the device to the garment at multiple locations spaced apart about a periphery of the opening to support the device in a mounted position over the opening.
COMPASS ATTACHABLE TO HAT
A compass for attachment to a hat, particularly a brim of a hat. The compass includes a housing, an attachment-clip, at least one direction-sensor, a controller, a display-screen and a power-supply. In a preferred embodiment, the power-supply is a solar panel and a rechargeable battery. The compass is useful for attaching to the hat to allow hands-free use of the compass.
Display for stretchable computing device
Some forms relate to a stretchable computing display device. The stretchable computing display device includes a stretchable base; a patterned conductive section mounted on the stretchable base, wherein the patterned conductive section includes a first portion and a second portion that is electrically isolated from the first portion; an electroluminescent material mounted on the stretchable base such that the electroluminescent material is between the first portion and the second portion of the patterned conductive section; an encapsulant that covers at least a portion of the patterned conductive section; and a textile such that the stretchable base is mounted on the textile, wherein the textile is part of a garment.
TWO-PIECE INTERLOCKING SYSTEM FOR TEMPORARY, PERMANENT, OR INTERCHANGEABLE ATTACHMENT BETWEEN RECEPTIVE HEADPIECE AND COSTUME HEADWEAR COMPONENTS CONTAINING BUILT-IN PROGRAMMABLE LED LIGHTS AND SOUND RESPONSIVE CAPABILITIES
A method for producing realistic, lightweight, scaled to size facsimiles of animal antlers, horns and other three-dimensional objects for costume headwear, and a system of interlocking components that provide interchangeability, adaptability and versatility in costume looks. Costume components contain LED lights and a sound sensor, providing environmentally responsive capabilities with programmed responses (e.g.: flashing light patterns) when activated (e.g.: in response to music or cheering in a stadium). The system includes an adaptor to retrofit hats, and a headband designed for pets.
Apparatus for Improving the Noticeability of a Hat
An apparatus is presented for improving the noticeability of a hat. The apparatus includes a light source configured to produce light upon receiving electrical energy. The apparatus also includes a mount coupled to the light source and configured to selectively attach to and detach from the hat. The mount, when attached to the hat, orients the light source to project light onto an exterior surface of the hat. The apparatus additionally includes a battery receptacle electrically-coupled to the light source and having electrical contacts for coupling to one or more batteries. Hats having improved noticeability and methods for improving the noticeability of a hat are also presented.
METHOD FOR PUTTING ON OR TAKING OFF A PIECE OF CLOTHING ONTO THE WEARER OR FROM THE WEARER THEREOF OR FOR CLOSING, PUTTING ON, OPENING, OR TAKING OFF A PIECE OF LUGGAGE CARRIED BY A PERSON
The invention relates to a method for putting on or taking off a piece of clothing (1) or for closing, putting on, opening, or taking off a piece of luggage, wherein the piece of clothing (1) or the piece of luggage has: a rotary closure (2) for tightening or loosening by means of a tensioning element (3), wherein the rotary closure (2) has a driven tension roller (4), and a switching element (6) which is connected to a controller (7), wherein the tightening or loosening takes place by actuation of the switching element (6) by the user of the piece of clothing (1) or of the piece of luggage. In order to in particular be able to tighten the piece of clothing in a particularly simple and reproducible manner, according to the invention, the switching element (6) has a number of contact-sensitive sensors (9) which are arranged adjacent to one another and form a surface (10) accessible to the user of the piece of clothing or of the piece of luggage, wherein the method comprises the steps of: scanning the surface (10) of the sensors (9) by the user in a first direction (R1), detecting the signal of the sensors (9) by the controller (7), and instigating the putting on of the piece of clothing (1) or closing or putting on of the piece of luggage with a first tensioning force level or a first closing path of the tensioning element (3) by the controller (7) and the electric motor (5). The invention further relates to a piece of clothing or to a piece of luggage.
SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR DETECTING, LOCATING AND MITIGATING CONCUSSIVE IMPACT FORCES
Systems for detecting, locating and mitigating impact forces directed towards a person's head are described herein. The systems include devices for wearing on a wearer's head. The devices include a base configured to conform to the wearer's head and retain a plurality of pouches on an outer surface of the base. The plurality of pouches are configured to absorb at least a portion of the impact force directed towards the outer surface of the base, provide an indication when the impact force directed towards the outer surface of the base has a magnitude exceeding a concussion-indicating level of force, and provide a location of impact when the impact force directed towards the outer surface of the base has a magnitude exceeding the concussion-indicating level of force.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR WEARABLE TEXTILE ELECTRONIC DEVICES
In one aspect, the disclosure relates to methods for on-demand ink deposition processes for printing conductive inks on textiles. The disclosed methods can be used to fabricate various disclosed wearable textile electronic devices comprising a textile product, such as a textile garment, and one or more electronic component such as a vertical interconnect access device, resistive printed heater, and a meshed-patch antenna. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
Hat and hat brim length adjusting method
A hat and a hat brim length adjusting method are provided to solve the problem that the hat brim length of the existing sunscreen hats cannot be adjusted in real time. The present hat includes a hat body and a hat brim which is retractable in length; the hat further includes a power supply, an adjustment unit and a detection unit; wherein the detection unit is used for detecting relations between a position of the sun and a position of a wearer's face in real time; and the adjustment unit is used for adjusting a length of the hat brim according to the detection result. The hat brim length of the present hat is adjustable, so that the hat not only can block the sun for the wearer but also can provide a good sight angle for the wearer.
