Article configured for removable attachment of an adornment
Disclosed is an article that allows for removable attachment of an adornment. The article has an inner layer of material and an outer layer of material. The outer layer of material is adjacent to an exterior surface of the inner layer of material, the outer layer forming an aperture around a first portion of the exterior surface of the inner layer. A coupling mechanism attaches the outer layer to the inner layer at an attachment location surrounding the aperture. A cavity adjacent to the aperture and between the inner layer and the outer layer receives the adornment for removable attachment of the adornment to the article.
Method of adorning an article
A method of adorning an article including the steps of: providing a first layer; cutting the first layer along a first border edge that surrounds a discrete piece of the first layer; separating the discrete piece of the first layer from a remaining portion of the first layer to thereby produce a void within the first border edge; providing a pre-formed insert piece configured to fit within the void and having a second border edge having a shape that conforms to a shape of at least a portion of the first border edge; directing the insert piece into the void with the void and insert piece pre-aligned so that the second border edge is placed against or immediately adjacent to the first border edge where the first and second border edge shapes conform; with the insert piece directed into the void, fixing the insert piece and remaining portion of the first layer together to define an adornment assembly; and integrating the adornment assembly into an article to adorn the article.
WEARABLE DEVICE
An apparatus is configured for use with a garment having an opening. The apparatus comprises a wearable device with fasteners. The device has utility separately from the garment. The fasteners are attached to the device separately form the garment, and are arranged to fasten the device to the garment at multiple locations spaced apart about a periphery of the opening to support the device in a mounted position over the opening.

The system may include a hat including a crown and a button affixed to the crown, and a message display removably attachable to the crown. The message display may include comprising a message panel, an attachment element configured to engage the hat by sliding into close fit with the button between the button and the crown, and a post spanning the message panel and the attachment element. The message panel may be perpendicular to the attachment element. The attachment element may include a slot including a closed proximal end proximate the message panel and an open distal end such that the slot surrounds a juncture between the crown and the button when the message display is deployed. The slot may have a relatively wide portion proximate the open distal end and a relatively narrow portion proximate the closed proximal end.
System and method for securing eyewear
A principal objective of the present invention is to provide system for temperately retaining eyeglasses on a user's headwear. This objective is achieved by incorporating magnetic elements on the headwear and eyewear of the user. In one embodiment of the present invention, two magnetic elements are attached to the inside surfaces of the two temple arms of a pair of eyeglasses. Another two magnetic elements are attached to the two sides of a hat permanently or removably. The polarities of the magnetic elements are arranged in such way that when the two temple arms of the eyeglasses are placed in contact to the two sides of the hat from the outside of the hat, the magnetic elements on the eyeglasses and the magnetic elements on the headwear form magnetic element coupling pairs with attraction magnetic force. When the eyeglasses are not in use and need to be temporarily stored away from the eyes, the user can lift them to the crown or above the brim of the hat. The corresponding magnetic element coupling pairs will attach the temple arms of the eyeglasses to the side of the hat.
