The method for producing reinforced glass includes: subjecting glass to a first reinforcing treatment; detecting a first stress parameter of the glass subjected to the first reinforcing treatment, and determining whether the glass subjected to the first reinforcing treatment is qualified according to the first stress parameter; subjecting the glass to a second reinforcing treatment when the glass subjected to the first reinforcing treatment is qualified; detecting a second stress parameter of the glass subjected to the second reinforcing treatment, and determining whether the glass subjected to the second reinforcing treatment is qualified according to the second stress parameter; and subjecting the glass to a touch-polishing treatment when the glass subjected to the second reinforcing treatment is qualified, so as to obtain the reinforced glass.

A method of manufacturing a quartz glass fibre includes producing a quartz glass primary preform by modified chemical vapor deposition (MCVD) in a quartz glass substrate tube and inserting the quartz glass primary preform into a glass jacketing tube. Defect-generating UV radiation is irridiated into the cross-sectional area of the glass jacketing tube while combining the quartz glass primary preform with the glass jacketing tube in the jacketing process to form a cladding layer to a secondary preform. A quartz glass fibre is pulled from the secondary preform.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DEGRADING CHLORINATED HYDROCARBONS IN POLLUTED GROUNDWATER

The present disclosure relates to a device and method for degrading chlorinated hydrocarbon (CHC) in polluted groundwater. A preparation method for each of glass tubes and the method for degrading CHCs are as follows: uniformly mixing 55-85 wt % of Bi.sub.2O.sub.3, 5-15 wt % of B.sub.2O.sub.3, and 10-30 wt % of SrCO.sub.3, putting into a corrosion resistant crucible, holding at 1,050-1,300° C. for 15-45 min, forming into a glass tube, and holding the glass tube at 200-400° C. for 1-3 h, followed by annealing; soaking the inner wall of the glass tube for 10-30 min with a HCl solution with a concentration of 0.02-0.2 mol/L, washing with water, and providing an ultraviolet lamp to obtain a self-cleaning glass tube; guiding CHC-containing groundwater to the self-cleaning glass tube, turning on the ultraviolet lamp, and carrying out ultraviolet irradiation for 1-8 h, thereby effectively removing the CHCs.

The etching step includes etching the chemically tempered glass so that an etching amount Δt on one surface of the chemically tempered glass is 0.25 .Math.m or more and 3 .Math.m or less.
