Helmet comprising a segmented shell
A helmet can include a helmet body comprising an energy-absorbing layer and an outer shell disposed over the energy-absorbing layer. An electronic device can be integrated with the helmet body. A first electrical contact can be formed at an exterior of the outer shell and adapted to be in electrical communication with the electronic device. A helmet visor can be coupled to the helmet body with at least one visor arm, the helmet visor comprising controls integrated within the visor. A second electrical contact can be formed at an inner surface of the at least one visor arm and adapted to be in electrical communication with the controls integrated within the visor. The second electrical contact can be adapted to mateably couple with the first electrical contact such that the electronic device and the controls are adapted to be in electrical contact.
Helmet/hood assembly structure and method of use thereof
A helmet/hood assembly includes a housing, a headband support assembly configured to hold the assembly on a human head, a face shield, and a flexible hood attached to the housing and to the face shield, with the assembly being received, stored, used, and disposed as a single unit. The headband support assembly pivots on the housing between a configuration suitable for shipping and storing the assembly and a configuration in which the assembly is worn. An accessory light powered by a battery may be held in place on the housing by magnetic attraction through the hood.
VENTILATED HELMET PREVENTING DEPOSITION OF FOG ON A PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR, AND A METHOD AND USE OF THE SAME
A ventilated helmet is provided. The helmet includes a shell defining a cavity, the shell having a front section provided with an opening to allow the wearer to see. The helmet also includes a transparent shield adapted having an inner surface and being adapted to substantially close the opening. Finally, the helmet includes a ventilation system having an evacuation subsystem adapted to create an evacuation airflow to evacuate humid air within the cavity to a surrounding environment. The ventilation system further has a pressurizing subsystem adapted to admit a pressurizing airflow within the cavity to create a high-pressure zone and a low-pressure zone within the cavity, wherein when in use, the wearer exhales air within the low-pressure zone, and wherein the high-pressure zone prevents air within the cavity from travelling from the low-pressure zone to the high-pressure zone. A method of evacuating humid air from the cavity is also provided.
Protective headgear with adjustable air supply
Protective headgear including central, left lateral, and right lateral trunks, and which may include at least one external, remote handle for directing air flow.
SAFETY HELMET WITH AN ADAPTER AND PROCESS FOR DETACHABLY FASTENING A MODULE
A safety helmet (100) includes a helmet shell (7), with a bearing support structure (2, 5, 9, 21), with a helmet-side coupling point and with a module adapter (1). The bearing support structure (2, 5, 9, 21) is fastened to the helmet shell (7) on an inside. A helmet-side adapter coupling point of the module adapter (1) can be connected detachably to the safety helmet-side adapter coupling point of the module adapter (1). The module adapter (1) holds a module at the safety helmet (100). A process for fastening a module detachably to a safety helmet (100).
SAFETY HELMET FAN SYSTEM
A safety helmet fan system includes a fan housing carrying a first fan on a first side of the fan housing and a second fan on a second side of the fan housing and configured to be mounted, by a mount connector located between the first side and the second side, on an exterior of a safety helmet shell above a brim of the safety helmet shell, and an elongate cooling air duct connected to the fan housing to direct cooling air flow from the fan housing around the brim and into an interior of the safety helmet shell.
Surgical Personal Protection Apparatus
A surgical protection system to define a barrier between the user and the external environment. The surgical protection system comprising a helmet assembly, a hood and a transparent face shield. The helmet including a shell, a face frame coupled to the shell, a static tab, a first fastener disposed on the face frame; and a fan mounted to the shell and configured to circulate air about the user. The hood may include a first material defining an opening. The shield may be formed from flexible material and disposed within the opening of the hood. The shield may further include a tab extending from a top portion of the shield and define an opening configured to receive the static tab of the helmet to align the shield to the helmet. The first fastener disposed on the face frame may be configured to facilitate removable attachment of the shield to the helmet.
Filter mask
A filter mask for biological material is provided wherein the filter mask has a fan assist for inhalation.
Protective helmet
A protective helmet including a visor attached to the external sides of the helmet shell. The shell includes substantially flat mount surfaces on each side which correspond with substantially flat portions on the respective ends of the visor. A fastener hole on the shell aligns with an access hole on the visor so that the two elements can be releasably fastened. The access hole provides space for a fastener to protrude out from the surface of the shell, allowing the visor to sit flush against the shell when fastened together. The helmet may include chin straps which are attached to the inner surface of the shell. The helmet may also include a catch strip on the front of the visor which protrudes from the visor such that it can prevent a cloth helmet cover (sometimes used in games such as Roller Derby) from easily sliding off the helmet.
