MACHINE-VENDIBLE FOLDABLE BICYCLE HELMET METHODS AND SYSTEMS
A bicycle helmet that fits over a surface of a head of a user generally includes at least one segment of flexible cell structures that form a radial honeycomb matrix movable between a folded condition where each side of the at least one segment is disposed generally parallel and an expanded condition where the radial honeycomb matrix of the at least one segment is configured to be expanded at least partially over the head of the user and arranged radially relative to the surface of the head of the user.
RIDE SHARE HELMET SAFETY COMPLIANCE
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to helmet safety compliance systems for use in personal transportation ride-share systems. A rider safety compliance system, may include a personal transport upon which a user can be transported, a physical lock mechanism securely mounted on the personal transport and mechanically adapted to lock and secure a helmet, and a processor adapted to release the helmet from the physical lock mechanism as a pre-determined action for allowing the user to activate the personal transport.
VARIABLE HELMET
The present disclosure relates to a variable helmet that can be unfolded flat and carried or kept when not in use. A configuration of the variable helmet is characterized by including a protective pad in which a plurality of unit pads are planarly coupled like a mosaic so that the protective pad is in a hemispherical shape to cover and protect a head of a wearer and is able to be unfolded flat like a plate, the protective pad having unevenness portions provided in a sawtooth shape at both ends thereof; both-end fixing means allowing the unit pads to have a hemispherical shape by tightening the both ends of the protective pad; and a chin strap allowing the protective pad to be fixed in a state in which the protective pad is covered on the head.
Inflatable safety helmet
An air inflatable and thus collapsible when air is removed, safety helmet preferably comprised of multiple inflatable lobes with a head conforming and surrounding inflatable ring and separate or integrated skull cap, for wear by the user, for placement on top of the lobes and/or for location within the chamber(s) formed of the lobes, or worn by the wearer directly upon the head, made of flexible, force absorbing and dissipating material. The lobes and ring are provided with quick release air inflation and deflation valves. The safety helmet can simply alternatively comprise air inflatable lobes with a minimally elastic outer covering to encase and minimize the movement or air within the chambers during a collision.
Collapsible protective helmet
A collapsible protective helmet (10) comprises an impact-resistant base body (11) intended to encircle the head of a wearer and an impact-resistant crown (12) coupled to the base body by coupling means to be movable between a protective position in which the crown is supported by the base body in an orientation in which the crown covers the top of the head of the wearer and a stored position inverted relative to the protective position in which the crown is supported by, but nested in, the base body. The helmet further comprises releasable locking means for locking the base body (11) and crown (12) together in each of the two positions of the crown. The coupling means permits movement between those positions by pivotation of the crown relative to the base body in a direction away from the base body so as to no longer be supported by the base body rotation of the crown relative to the base body through substantially 180 degrees and pivotation of the crown relative to the base body in a direction towards the base body so as to again be supported by the base body.
Surgical personal protection apparatus
A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system includes a helmet over which a hood or a toga suspended. A microphone, an amplifier and a speaker are mounted to the helmet. Speech of the individual wearing the personal protection system is picked up by the microphone and amplified speech is broadcast by the speaker. The speaker is outwardly directed so as to broadcast the speech out through the hood or toga covering the helmet.
Folding hat with integrated display system
A folding hat can include an integrated display system. Methods for folding and manufacturing the hat with integrated displays are also disclosed. The hat can include a visor and cap of various materials integrated with displays. The hat can have hinges that fold the assembly into a small volume for stowing. The hinges are configurable in a multitude of positions and geometries to provide different folding techniques and folded geometries. Such configurations allow for a range of options for carrying and storing the folding hat with integrated display system.
COLLAPSIBLE HELMET
A collapsible helmet may include a number of chassis segments that are mechanically coupled to one another, where at least some of the chassis segments are collapsible into another chassis segment for storage, and where the chassis segments are expandable so that the helmet is suitable for wearing on a user's head for protection thereof. For example, certain aspects include a three-piece collapsible helmet that has interlocking fingers. In this manner, when the helmet is closed, the interlocking fingers allow the helmet to conveniently fold or collapse into a compact form. Moreover, when the helmet is opened, the interlocking fingers may provide a desired head coverage for protection of a wearer.
Machine vendible expandable helmet and manufacture of same
A bicycle helmet that fits over a surface of a head of a user generally includes a segment of flexible cell structures that form a radial honeycomb matrix movable between a folded condition where each side of the segment is disposed generally parallel and an expanded condition where the radial honeycomb matrix of the segment is configured to be expanded at least partially over the head of the user and arranged radially relative to the surface of the head of the user. The bicycle helmet includes a first and second side frame disposed respectively at the first and second ends of the honeycomb matrix. A sliding latch permits selective translation of the first and second side frames.
