Each strut includes a hinge along a length of the strut for folding the strut and a plurality of cutouts allowing the strut to bow in a direction opposite a fold direction of the hinge.
Helmet
A head protection helmet including an impact resistant shell that includes a cavity for accommodating a user's head. The helmet further includes an array of crushable bodies having a hollow closed configuration, e.g. flutes in corrugated material 14, 16, the crushable bodies each having an axis that extends outwardly from the cavity to absorb impact forces exerted along the direction of the axis.
A Helmet
A helmet is described, more specifically a helmet comprising a protective shell (10) formed of a flexible expanded polyurethane (EPU) material which defines a cavity for receiving the wearer's head, the shell being foldable, the helmet further comprising a strap (11) arrangement for fastening the shell to the wearer's head.
Helmet
A helmet (10) formed of a plurality of layers wherein at least one of the layers comprises a plurality of beads (16) encased within a liner (28), and a second liner selected from the group consisting of a hard layer (36) and a soft layer (26).
COLLAPSIBLE HELMET
A collapsible helmet for cyclists, the collapsible helmet comprising: at least one elongate, curved central portion adapted to extend over a crown of a user's head from front to back; and, a plurality of side portions supported either side of the at least one central portion, the plurality of side portions configured to nest substantially under the at least one central portion when in a collapsed position, and the plurality of side portions configured to form a helmet when in an operative position; and, at least one flexible strap interconnecting the plurality of side portions and the at least one central portion, wherein the at least one flexible strap limits the relative separation of the plurality of side portions in the operative position.
MEDICAL/SURGICAL PERSONAL PROTECTION SYSTEM INCLUDING A HELEMT, THE HELMET HAVING A FAN AND A FAN HOUSING THAT ARE CURVED TO CURVE AROUND THE HEAD OF THE HEAD OF THE INDIVIDUAL WEARING THE HELMET
A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system includes a helmet over which a hood or a toga suspended. A microphone, an amplifier and a speaker are mounted to the helmet. Speech of the individual wearing the personal protection system is picked up by the microphone and amplified speech is broadcast by the speaker. The speaker is outwardly directed so as to broadcast the speech out through the hood or toga covering the helmet.
Collapsible helmet
A collapsible helmet including a shell having two or more components which are hingedly connected together about fold lines extending across the shell. Each component includes a plurality of panels with each panel being hingedly connected to at least one adjacent panel. The shell may be adjustable between a first configuration in which the helmet may be placed over the head of the user and a second configuration in which the components are flattened and are arranged in a substantially overlying relationship.
Ride share helmet safety compliance
A rider safety compliance system comprising: a personal transport upon which a user can be transported, a physical lock mechanism securely mounted on the personal transport and mechanically adapted to lock and secure a helmet, and a processor adapted to release the helmet from the physical lock mechanism as a predetermined action for allowing the user to activate the personal transport.
