Adjustable hockey helmet
An adjustable hockey helmet includes a front shell that is longitudinally movable relative to a rear shell to adjust the length of the helmet. One or more substantially rigid straps or similar elements are attached to the front shell and extend to the interior of the rear shell. A cam mechanism or similar device is included on the rear shell for securing the straps directly or indirectly against the interior of the rear shell to prevent longitudinal movement of the front shell relative to the rear shell once the helmet is adjusted to a desired length. Alternatively, the one or more straps may be attached to the rear shell and the cam mechanism may be included on the front shell.
ADJUSTABLE HELMET FOR A HOCKEY OR LACROSSE PLAYER
An adjustable helmet having first and second shells and a single actuator comprising at least one tooth, the single actuator being moveable between: a first locked position, wherein the at least one tooth retains the first and second shells and the first and second shells define a first hollow space; a released position, wherein the at least one tooth no longer retains the first and second shells such that one of the first and second shells is moveable relative to the other of the first and second shells; and a second locked position, wherein the at least one tooth retains the first and second shells and the first and second shells define a second hollow space, the second hollow space being different than the first hollow space.
SPORTS HELMET WITH ROTATIONAL IMPACT PROTECTION
A sports helmet for protecting a head of a wearer, comprising: an outer shell comprising an external surface of the sports helmet; inner padding disposed between the outer shell and the wearer's head; an adjustment mechanism operable by the wearer to vary an internal volume of the cavity to adjust a fit of the sports helmet on the wearer's head; and a rotational impact protection device disposed between the external surface of the sports helmet and the wearer's head when the sports helmet is worn, the rotational impact protection device comprising a surface movable relative to the external surface of the sports helmet in response to a rotational impact on the outer shell to absorb rotational energy from the rotational impact, the surface of the rotational impact protection device undergoing displacement when the adjustment mechanism is operated by the wearer to vary the internal volume of the cavity.
Helmet for impact protection
A helmet for protecting a head of a wearer, such as a hockey, lacrosse, football or other sports player. The helmet includes an outer shell and an inner padding disposed between the outer shell and the wearer's head when the helmet is worn. The inner padding includes a plurality of shock absorbers and an interconnector interconnecting the shock absorbers, each shock absorber being deformable in response to a rotational impact on the helmet such that an outer part of the shock absorber moves relative to an inner part of the shock absorber in a direction tangential to an angular movement of the outer shell due to the rotational impact.
HELMET
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a helmet comprising an inner shell (3) a detachable outer shell (2) and an intermediate layer (4) between the inner shell and the outer shell. At least one connecting member (5) is configured to directly connect the inner shell to the outer shell, and allow sliding between the inner shell and the outer shell, when the outer shell is attached to the helmet. When the outer shell is attached, the outer shell and the inner shell are configured to slide relative to one another in response to an impact. A sliding interface is provided between the intermediate layer and one or both of the outer shell and the inner shell.
Functional/multi-purpose head cushion for headband
The present invention relates to a functional/multi-purpose head cushion for a headband; the headband is formed from a head cushion comprising: a main body which is depressively formed from up, down, left and right towards the central part; a fixing clip which is provided on the upper part of the main body and is inserted into the band main body or the support band; and banding members for integrally connecting both end portions of the fixing clip and the upper edge portions of the main body, wherein the head cushion is formed from a resilient material so as to have easy shape transformation and resilience and is insert-provided inside the headband and thereby assist in supporting a wearer's head.
Helmet with facemask adjustment mechanism
A protective helmet including a helmet body, a facemask extending from the front portion to cover at least a portion of a face of a wearer, and one or more adjustment mechanisms securing the facemask to the helmet body. The adjustment mechanism(s) is/are connected to the helmet, include(s) an engagement member engaged with the facemask, is/are selectively engageable with the facemask in at least two vertically spaced apart positions of the facemask relative to the helmet body, and allow(s) toolless adjustment between the vertically spaced apart positions. Adjustment mechanisms and methods of positioning a facemask are also discussed.
ADJUSTING MECHANISM AND HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY
An adjusting mechanism and a head mounted display are provided. The adjusting mechanism includes a band, a rotating shaft, a knob, a driving member, and a holder. The rotating shaft has a first ring tooth around a central axis. The band is driven by the rotating shaft to move relative to the rotating shaft when the rotating shaft rotates around the central axis. The knob has a plurality of chutes. Each chute has a first section and a second section. The depth of each first section is deeper than the depth of each second section. The driving member has a second ring tooth, a plurality of guiding pins, and a plurality of pawls. The driving member is assembled to the knob, and the guiding pins are located in the chutes. The holder has a circular unidirectional tooth. The band limits the rotation of the holder relative to the band. The circular unidirectional tooth is configured to be coupled with these pawls to limit the rotation of the driving member relative to the holder in a single direction.
Protective Helmet, in Particular Motorcycle Helmet, Having a Swivelable and Removable Chin Part
A protective helmet has a jet helmet part and a chin part which are releasably connected to each other by a coupling part. The chin part and the jet helmet part can be swiveled relative to each other by a swiveling mechanism between an integral helmet position and a jet helmet position. The coupling part includes a coupling element on the chin part and a second coupling element on the jet helmet part, which coupling elements engage to form a mutually releasable form-fit coupling. The swiveling mechanism actuates a locking mechanism where the locking mechanism includes a blocking slider and is designed such that, in the integral helmet position, the blocking slider blocks the first coupling element such that a decoupling of the coupling elements is prevented, and in the jet helmet position, the blocking of the first coupling element is released thereby enabling the coupling elements to be decoupled.
Form-fitting protective headgear with integrated fastening system and detachable eye shield
Provided is a protective headgear that includes a first shell section, second shell section, third shell section, and fourth shell section. The first shell section is configured to extend about a head of the user, and include a first central portion, a first strap and a second strap that extend from the first shell section. The first central portion includes a first protective layer and a second protective layer disposed atop the first protective layer. The second shell section is configured to extend about a jaw of the user, and include a second central portion, a third strap and a fourth strap that extend from the second shell section. The third shell section is connected to the first shell section by the first strap and the third strap, and the fourth shell section is connected to the second shell section by the second strap and the fourth strap.
