Sole structure for article of footwear
A sole structure for an article of footwear having an upper includes a midsole. The midsole may include a cushion and a chassis. The cushion extends from a forefoot region to a heel region of the sole structure. The chassis is disposed between a top side of the cushion and the upper. An outsole is mounted to a bottom surface of the midsole. The outsole includes a first outsole portion, a second outsole portion and a third outsole portion. The first outsole portion, the second outsole portion and the third outsole portion are spaced apart from each other so as to provide flexibility to the sole structure. The first outsole portion, the second outsole portion and the third outsole portion may be formed of a first material and a second material. The second material is more durable relative to the first material.
FOOTWEAR HEEL SPRING DEVICE
A device configured to surround a portion of a foot-receiving cavity at a heel region of an article of footwear comprises a control bar having a center segment, a first side arm extending from the center segment, and a second side arm spaced from the first side arm and extending from the center segment. The control bar may include a series of slats. A base supports the control bar and is connected to the first side arm and the second side arm. The control bar is biased to an unstressed position with the center segment a first distance from the base, and elastically bends under an applied force to a loaded position with the center segment a second distance from the base less than the first distance. The device stores potential energy that returns the control bar to the unloaded position upon removal of the applied load.
Sole structure for article of footwear
A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a forefoot region disposed adjacent an anterior end, a heel region disposed adjacent a posterior end, and a mid-foot region disposed intermediate the forefoot region and the heel region. The sole structure further includes fluid-filled bladder having a first segment extending along a medial side in the heel region, a second segment extending along a lateral side in the heel region, and a web area disposed between the first segment and the second segment. Additionally, the sole structure includes an outer sole member having an upper portion extending from a first end in the forefoot region to a second end in the heel region. The second end of the outer sole member is received on a first side of the web area. The outer sole member also includes a rib extending downwardly from the upper portion and defining a cavity.
UPPER WITH MEMBRANE REGIONS
An upper for an article of footwear. The upper comprises a first membrane region having a first set of characteristics, and second membrane region located in an area of the upper which is different from the first membrane region and having a second set of characteristics, a first value of at least one of the characteristics of the second set of characteristics being different from a second value of the corresponding characteristic of the first set of characteristics. Also, a shoe with such an upper.
Sole structure for article of footwear
A sole structure for an article of footwear having an upper includes a heel region, a forefoot region, and a mid-foot region disposed between the heel region and the forefoot region. The sole structure also includes a bladder including a first barrier layer cooperating with a second barrier layer to define a first chamber bounding a periphery of the heel region, and a second chamber extending from the mid-foot region through the forefoot region and including a plurality of segments extending from a medial side of the sole structure to a lateral side of the sole structure. Each of the segments of the second chamber includes a medial reservoir adjacent to the medial side and a lateral reservoir adjacent to the lateral side, the medial reservoir fluidly coupled to the lateral reservoir via a first conduit.
Auxiliary or integrated inner sole structure for footwear
An inner sole structure for being mounted inside footwear for engagement by the foot comprises a middle sole part covered by a top part. The middle sole part defines has a thickness providing for supporting the foot and defines a longitudinal channel devoid of any material therein and defining an opening covered by the top sole part. When the inner sole structure is inside the footwear and engaged by the foot, the longitudinal channel is positioned under the foot of the wearer and is aligned with a longitudinal portion of the foot corresponding to a plantar fascia position of the foot to avoid tension against this foot portion. The inner sole structure comprises a support element for being mounted to an inner sole part of the footwear to be engaged by the foot. The support member is positioned to be engaged by a region of the foot corresponding to a position extending between at least near a fifth metatarsal rear end position of the foot to a heel bone position of the foot for providing stability to the foot for controlled supination.
Airbag for article of footwear
A bladder for an article of footwear includes a first barrier layer formed of a first material, and a second barrier layer formed of a second material. The first barrier layer and the second barrier layer cooperate to form a fluid-filled chamber having a first fluid-filled segment extending along an arcuate path, a second fluid-filled segment extending from a first end of the first fluid-filled segment to a first distal end along a first longitudinal axis, and a third fluid-filled segment extending from a second end of the first fluid-filled segment to a second distal end along a second longitudinal axis parallel to the first longitudinal axis. The first barrier layer and the second barrier layer may be joined together define a web area connecting each of the first segment, the second segment, and the third segment.
