Footwear securing device
A footwear securing device is provided. The device includes a front strap, a mid strap, a rear strap, an ankle strap, a connector strap, and a base plate; the base plate configured to attach to a sole of a shoe and comprising a front portion, a mid portion, and a rear portion, the front portion comprising a front slot, the mid portion comprising a mid slot, and the rear portion comprising a rear slot; and the front strap configured to enter the front slot, the mid strap configured to enter the mid slot, and the rear strap configured to enter the rear slot.
FLEXIBLE, FORM-FITTING, SLIDE-TYPE SANDAL
Aspects of the present disclosure provide a flexible, form-fitting, slide-type sandal, which includes a footbed and a strap affixed to the footbed on two sides. The strap comprises an underlay that spans the width of the footbed, as well as lateral and medial overlays with an expansion joint therebetween. The expansion joint between the lateral and medial overlays allows the underlay to flex and provide a better fit for the wearer.
Supportive footwear for athletic training
A shoe has a main body, an ankle strap, plantar bridge, and a toe loop connected to the main body. The main body wraps around the dorsal instep area of the foot and the plantar bridge wraps around the plantar midfoot area of the foot, without covering the ball, the plantar metatarsals, the heel, or the toes. The ankle strap is attached at its ends to the main body and extends around the back of the foot above the heel for constraining the main body from forwarding movement. The toe loop surrounds one of the toes and connects with the main body from above the foot, for constraining the main body from rearward movement.

A footwear article is provided herein. The footwear article may include a sole coupled to a cord structure. The cord structure may include interconnected bights in a vamp cord and a rand cord forming a loop line extending along at least a portion of the footwear article.

An arrangement of tensile strands is incorporated into a footwear article to provide at least part of an enclosure. The tensile strands may be adjustable to affect a size of the enclosure and an amount of compression of the enclosure.

A method of manufacturing articles of footwear that includes steps of providing articles to a customer, receiving evaluations of one or more structural characteristics of the articles and making new customized articles for the customer based on the evaluations of one or more structural characteristics. The method can be conducted as a cycle that is repeated each time the customer buys a new pair of footwear.
Split-sole footwear
An article of footwear including a textile upper and a split sole, the split sole having a forefoot portion and a heel portion separated by a gap under the instep portion of the article of footwear. An x-shaped bridge arches over the wearer's foot and connects the forefoot portion of the split sole to the heel portion of the split sole. The article of footwear is fabricated using injection molding to impregnate the fabric at the bottom of the textile upper and to form the split sole.
Alternative strap configurations for sandals and flip flops, and methods of manufacturing same
A flip-flop sandal includes a colored sole, and first and second straps that transition laterally away from a thong secured to the front of the sole. Rubber bands of different colors, thicknesses, outer diameters, and/or textures are received over the stop members at the distal ends of the straps, and onto the straps to customize its appearance. A special tool may be releasably coupled to the stop member and be used to easily slide the rubber bands over the stop members. The straps may have recesses transverse to its length, formed about an entire periphery of the strap, with rubber hands each configured to fit within one of the recesses. The rubber bands, straps, and/or portions of the sole may be formed of a material configured to absorb photons when present, and thereafter glow the various different colors when in the dark. Alternative manufacturing methods for flip flops is also provided.
FOOTWEAR SYSTEM WITH AN ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING AN UPPER WITH MEDIAL AND LATERAL SIDE PORTIONS WITH SEPARATELY SECURABLE DISTAL ENDS
A footwear system includes an article of footwear that has a sole with a medial side, a lateral side, and a foot-receiving surface. The article of footwear has an upper with a medial side portion and a lateral side portion. The medial side portion is fixed to the medial side of the sole and has a first distal end. The lateral side portion is fixed to the lateral side of the sole and has a second distal end. The medial side portion and the lateral side portion are configured to wrap at least partially around a foot positioned on the foot-receiving surface. The medial side portion is securable at the first distal end, and the lateral side portion is separately securable at the second distal end remote from the medial side portion when the medial side portion and the lateral side portion are wrapped at least partially around the foot.
ARTICLE OF FOOTWEAR HAVING AN UPPER WITH SEPARATELY SECURING MEDIAL AND LATERAL SIDE PORTIONS
An article of footwear comprises a sole, and an upper that has a medial side portion extending from the medial side of the sole with a first distal end remote from the medial side. The upper has a lateral side portion extending from the lateral side of the sole with a second distal end remote from the lateral side. The upper may include a support member extending at least partially across the foot-receiving surface with a first end remote from the medial side. The medial and lateral side portions wrap at least partially around a foot with the first distal end securable proximal to the lateral side, and the second distal end separately securable proximal to the medial side. An article of footwear has cables with proximal ends fixed to one side of the upper and that extend through looped cables on an opposite side of the upper.
