COOL BURNING GAS GENERANT FORMULATION FOR AN AIRBAG WITH LOW BURN RATE SLOPE
A gas generant formulation for a side impact airbag that includes a primary fuel, a primary oxidizer, a secondary fuel, and a secondary oxidizer. The secondary fuel includes at least melamine nitrate in an amount that is in a range of about 1.00% by weight to about 10.00% by weight. The secondary oxidizer includes at least potassium perchlorate that is in an amount that is in a range of about 1.00% by weight to about 10.00% by weight. The formulation provides a burn rate that is at least 50 mm/sec at 40 MPa and a burn rate slope that is equal to or less than 0.40.

The present invention relates to a propellant in liquid or gel form, in particular for rocket engines, comprising: an inorganic salt as the oxidising agent, wherein the inorganic salt has an oxygen content of at least 60 weight %; and a solvent as the fuel, comprising a monovalent or divalent alcohol, a nitroalkane and/or an ionic liquid in which nitrate is the anion, wherein the solvent has an oxygen content of from 30 to 55 weight %, wherein the inorganic salt is dissolved in the solvent.

INSULATING GLAZING UNIT HAVING A PYROTECHNIC MODULE
An insulating glazing unit including a first pane and a second pane bonded to a circumferential spacer is presented. The first/second panes are respectively bonded to a first/second pane contact surfaces of the spacer. The first pane, the second pane, and a glazing interior surface of the spacer enclose an inner interpane space of the insulating glazing unit. According to one aspect, the insulating glazing unit includes a pyrotechnic module that contains a pyrotechnic composition and an igniter. The pyrotechnic composition releases an aerosol in the inner interpane space after activation by the igniter. Methods for production and use of the insulating glazing unit are also presented.
Gaseous Oxygen Propulsion System With Chemical Oxygen Generation
The present invention relates generally in gaseous oxygen propulsion systems with solid-phase chemical oxygen generation for in-space propulsion systems. Chemical oxygen generation is provided by alkali metal chlorates, alkali metal perchlorates or metal peroxides.

The propellant may be substantially free of lead.
