Method for removing perfluorinated alkanoic acids
Provided are methods for removing a perfluorinated alkanoic acid from solutions containing the perfluorinated alkanoic acid and a fluorinated alkoxy acid. These methods include contacting the first solution with an anion-exchange resin to produce a second solution and a resultant anion-exchange resin having perfluorinated alkanoic acid adsorbed thereto, wherein the perfluorinated alkanoic acid is present in the first solution at a first concentration and is present in the second solution at a second concentration which is lower than the first concentration, and separating the second solution from the resultant anion-exchange resin.

Method for producing dicarboxylic acid
A method for producing dicarboxylic acid. The method includes: subjecting a raw material system including a cyclic olefin and a lower monocarboxylic acid to an addition reaction in the presence of an addition reaction catalyst to generate an intermediate product system including cyclic carboxylic acid ester; and subjecting the intermediate product system including cyclic carboxylic acid ester to a ring-opening and oxidation reaction in the presence of an oxidant and an oxidation catalyst to generate a corresponding dicarboxylic acid product. The addition reaction in the dicarboxylic acid synthesis route achieves a high single-pass conversion rate, and the selectivity of the corresponding cyclic carboxylic acid ester is high. The addition-oxidation synthesis route achieves faster reaction rates for both the addition reaction and oxidation reaction, and high yield of corresponding dicarboxylic acid product. The addition-oxidation based synthesis route is suitable for continuous, stable and large-scale production of corresponding dicarboxylic acid product.

Photoresist with top-coating photo-decomposable base for photolithography
A lithographic method includes forming a photoresist layer on a target layer, forming a photo-decomposable base (PDB) layer on the photo resist layer, performing an exposure operation using a mask, and performing a negative development treatment to form a patterned photoresist layer on the target layer. In some cases, the photo-decomposable base layer includes a self-generating top coating photo-decomposable base (TC-PDB) layer. The method can also include forming a top surface water-resistant coating in separate coating process. In some embodiments, a top surface water-resistant coating is self-generated during a photoresist coating process.
