Device and method for treating heel pain
The present invention is an insert having a raised region that contacts an arch region of a wearer's foot, which may be selectively reinforced with a removable supplemental support. In exemplary embodiments, the insert includes a heel region adapted to receive at least a region of a heel of a wearer, and the raised region has a length situated along a width of the insert and adapted to underlie a calcaneus-midtarsal connection of a foot the wearer. The raised region is defined by a bottom semi-cylindrical surface that forms a cavity below the raised region so that an apex of the bottom semi-cylindrical surface lies above a bottom flat surface of the insert. Inside the cavity, the support is removably coupled to the cavity for selectively increasing or decreasing a rigidity of the raised region of the insert in order to apply a user-selected therapeutic pressure.
Leg brace
The present disclosure can provide a leg brace capable of reducing a pain in a knee while both enhancing its convenience and reducing the burden on an ankle. the leg brace including: a first pushing part that pushes a leg of the wearer outward so that an ankle bone is positioned above a heel bone; a second pushing part that pushes the leg of the wearer inward so that the ankle bone is positioned above the heel bone; a restraint part that restrains a positional relation between the first and the second pushing parts in which they face each other across the leg of the wearer; and a placement part on which a foot of the wearer is placed, the placement part being connected to the first pushing part or the second pushing part.

Anatomical Support Method Using Elongate Strap Support
A material includes a support layer comprising a woven fiber layer less than 30 mils thick. The support layer includes an elongate strap support. The support layer has a ratio of elongation to tensile strength (lb/in-width) that is less than 0.9 in a first direction and greater than 0.9 in a perpendicular second direction. The material additionally includes an adhesive layer on said support layer for adhesive attachment of said support layer to the outer skin surface of a user and a removable cover layer on said adhesive layer. Methods of use of the material and elongate strap support(s) to a human body include providing anatomical support or therapeutic effects.
CUSTOMIZED SPLIT INSOLE FOR DIABETIC PATIENTS
An inventive custom made split insole for use by diabetic patients, split into zones for normal and flat foot persons and five zones for high arch foot persons where these splits have projections which are hexagonal or oval in shape and have specific dimensions and specific spacing but are of uniform height and elasticity.
FOOTWEAR SOLE STRUCTURE
An article of footwear is provided and includes an upper, a fluid-filled chamber including a first portion in contact with the upper in a first region, and a midsole including a first portion disposed between the fluid-filled chamber and the upper in a second region.
THERAPEUTIC ARTICLE OF MANUFACTURE FOR ADHESIVE APPLICATION TO THE SKIN OF A USER
A therapeutic article of manufacture suitable for adhesive application to the skin of a user includes an elongate support layer formed of a single layer of woven fabric. The woven fabric has a ratio of elongation in percent to tensile strength (lb/in-width) that is less than 0.9 in only one of two test directions, where elongation, tensile strength, and test directions are determined under test conditions specified in ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) D3759. The article of manufacture additionally includes an adhesive intermittent across the support layer and a removable cover layer releasably retained on the adhesive.
Footwear and sole structure assemblies with adhesive-free mechanical attachments between insoles and midsoles
Presented are footwear sole structures with foot-cushioning insoles movably mounted onto impact-attenuating midsoles, methods for making/using such sole structures, and footwear fabricated with such sole structures. A multilayered sole structure assembly includes an insole movably mounted on a midsole. The midsole is formed with a first compressible material and includes opposing upper and lower midsole surfaces, multiple protrusions projecting from the upper midsole surface, and multiple pockets recessed into the upper midsole surface and interleaved with the midsole protrusions. The insole, which is formed with a second compressible material distinct from the first compressible material, includes opposing upper and lower insole surfaces, multiple protrusions projecting from the lower insole surface and interleaved with the midsole protrusions, and multiple pockets recessed into the lower insole surface and interleaved with the insole protrusions. Each midsole protrusion nests within a respective insole pocket, while each insole protrusion nests within a respective midsole pocket.
Shoe slide with podiatric elements
A shoe slide that includes a footbed having a forefoot area with a top edge, a hindfoot portion with a bottom edge, and a footbed surface. A foam footbed liner is disposed atop the footbed surface, the foam footbed liner having an upper surface. A metatarsal pad in the forefoot area of the footbed protrudes above the surface of the footbed liner and is dimensioned such that when the shoe slide is worn the metatarsal pad engages and applies pressure to the wearer's plantar fascial near the proximal phalanges of the toes at the metatarsophalangeal joints. The shoe slide also includes a raised rubber protrusion in the hindfoot area of the footbed positioned and dimensioned such that when the shoe slide is worn the raised rubber protrusion engages and applies pressure to the wearer's plantar fascia near the calcaneal tubercle.
