Shoe construction
An improved article of footwear of the invention includes an upper, an adjustable closure system affixed to the upper, the closure system having a guide member having a first groove portion and a second groove portion, a fastening member positioned opposite the guide member and having at least two tensioning members, and removable cable assembly connecting the guide member and the fastening member, wherein the cable assembly extends sequentially through the first groove portion of the guide member, a first tensioning member of the fastening member, the second groove portion of the guide member, and a second tensioning member of the fastening member, a bottom secured to the upper, a stabilizing member positioned between the upper and the bottom, wherein the stabilizing member has a base portion and at least one of a lateral support portion and a medial support portion extending upwardly from opposing sides of the base portion.
Co-molded 3D elements
Describes are support elements for a sole of a shoe, in particular a sports shoe, a sole and a shoe with such a support element, as well as a method for the manufacture of a support element. As examples, the support element includes a first partial member formed of a first material, and a second partial member formed of a second material. The first partial member is mechanically joined to the second partial member in a connection region, wherein the connection region is configured to allow the first partial member to rotate or slide relative to the second partial member. The first partial member, the second partial member, and the connection region can be co-molded and joined together in a single fabricating step.
Foot prosthetic
A foot prosthetic having a pressure relieving, weight distribution pad having a convex surface and a concave surface. The pad includes a central portion having a maximum thickness, the pad gradually tapering from the central portion to an outer peripheral edge thereof, the pad providing a cushioning for the foot. An adhesive layer is formed on the concave surface. During use, the concave surface is affixed to a selected portion of the user's foot thus conforming to the unique shape of the selected portion of the user's foot. The gradual tapering provides a smooth transition being formed between the pad and the user's foot at the outer peripheral edge.
Water shoe with brace
A water or swim shoe for persons needing to wear an orthotic to support a foot for swimming or any other water exercise or recreation. The shoe body is comprised of porous, water resistant material, has multiple holes for water drainage, and a protective rounded rubber toe end. The shoe sole is comprised of rubber or synthetic rubber. The shoe sole has affixed thereto and extending from the heel end an “L” shaped hard plastic orthotic which is strapped to the back of the person's leg for wear.

Orthopedic walking boot having a mechanically adjustable ramp insert
An orthopedic walking boot includes a housing configured to encompass at least a user's foot, a mechanically adjustable ramp insert including a ramp surface and disposed in the housing, and an adjusting mechanism configured to adjust an elevation angle of the ramp surface. The mechanically adjustable ramp insert includes a base, a threaded shaft secured to the adjusting mechanism at a first end and configured to rotate with the adjusting mechanism, a first slider nut including internal threads, a bracket in physical contact with the ramp surface, a first support coupled to the first slider nut at a first end and to the bracket at a second end, and a second support coupled to the base at a first end and to the bracket at a second end.
AN ASSEMBLY FOR PROVIDING FOOTWEAR WITH A PLURALITY OF REMOVABLE AND INTERCHANGEABLE FOOTBEDS
An assembly for providing footwear with a plurality of removable and interchangeable footbeds. The assembly providing an item of footwear, a cushioning full length footbed adapted for insertion within the footwear to cooperate with the footwear to thereby produce a soft feel, and a supportive full length footbed adapted for insertion within the footwear to cooperate with the footwear to thereby produce a supportive feel. In use, the cushioning full length footbed is inserted into the item of footwear to provide a soft feeling underfoot, or the supportive full length footbed is inserted into the item of footwear to provide a support to reduce or prevent excessive pronation.
SHOES
A sole of a shoe has a plurality of lower protrusions and a plurality of upper protrusions arranged at least at a portion of the sole corresponding to a forefoot of a wearer of the shoe. A support includes a planta rest that is arranged in an internal space surrounded by a shoe upper and bridges between a position of the shoe upper corresponding to a medial side of the foot of the wearer of the shoe to a position of the shoe upper corresponding to a lateral side of the foot of the wearer of the shoe in a foot width direction. The planta rest is configured to receive a portion of the planta of the foot of the wearer of the shoe near a base of metatarsal bone and lift the base of metatarsal bone above the sole.

An assembly for a shoe or other footwear comprising computer controlled individually configurable inflatable air bladder orthotic structures that are monitored by a flexible pressure sensor pad. Comprising of a plurality of regions, each region including a respective plurality of air bladders; each respective air bladder being individually feed by a separate tube; each tube having a self-sealing valve disposed thereon and configured to allow air to enter the bladder through the valve while maintaining air pressure within the air bladder; and each self-sealing tube valve configured to allow air to escape through the valve via a computer controlled mini compressor integrated pump and release valve device. Where the air bladders are feed air through a mini smart compressor, which additionally can be controlled by a smart phone or computer. Said smart compressor connects with the shoe assembly at the heel pad plug in. The heel pad plug in comprising individual hoses and valves to fill and empty bladders and a power cord for recharging the shoe battery.
Reverse insole
An orthopedic insole is provided with an insole having a bottom portion for facing a sole of a shoe; one or more orthopedic pads disposed on the bottom portion of the insole at one or more judiciously selected locations to provide different heights and/or different physical properties. An orthopedic shoe is also provided having an upper; a sole attached to the upper, and the removable insole within the shoe. An orthopedic insole is provided with an insole having a bottom portion for facing a sole of a shoe; a first orthopedic pad disposed on the bottom portion of the insole at a location corresponding to at least one selected from the group consisting of a medial longitudinal arch, a lateral longitudinal arch, and a transverse metatarsal arch of a foot.
