Insole and outsole two-piece shoe
11607007 · 2023-03-21 · ·

An article of footwear includes an injection molded outsole of a first material having a durometer reading of at least 28 to at most 38 on the Asker C scale, an injection molded insole of a second material having a durometer reading of at least 28 to at most 38 on the Asker C scale, and an upper, at least a section of a peripheral edge of the upper being sandwiched between the insole and the outsole.

Footwear with a composite plate sole assembly

A footwear construction includes a sole assembly including a first midsole platform, a second midsole platform below the first midsole platform, a spring plate disposed between the first and second midsole platforms, and an outsole layer disposed below and joined directly with at least one of the plate, the first and the second midsole platforms. The outsole layer can be substantially the only layer below the plate in the forefoot region of the footwear so an underfoot force engaging the outsole layer is transmitted directly to the plate, which also can have an upward curving, multi-radii transition portion extending from a lowermost portion to a forward most portion of the plate so as to roll a wearer's foot forward into a next stride in a gait cycle of the wearer. The plate can define an aperture. A mounting cap can extend through the aperture and can receive a traction spike.

FOOTWEAR SOLE PLATE WITH FOREFOOT THROUGH HOLE
20230124843 · 2023-04-20 · ·

A sole structure for an article of footwear may have a midsole system that includes a sole plate having a forefoot region and a midfoot region. The sole plate may have a foot-facing surface and a ground-facing surface opposite to the foot-facing surface. The sole plate may define a through hole extending from the foot-facing surface to the ground-facing surface in the forefoot region. The through hole may be closer to a medial edge of the sole plate than to a lateral edge of the sole plate. The sole plate may have ridges extending longitudinally in the midfoot region and in the forefoot region. The ridges may have crests at least some of which may extend non-parallel with one another in a longitudinal direction of the sole plate.

Shoe sole with enhanced performance characteristics

The present invention provides a sole for a footwear article. The sole is formed from an elastomeric compound comprising at least one elastomer, and at least one graphene based material, in an amount ranging from 0.1 wt % to 5 wt % relative to the weight of said at least one elastomer, essentially uniformly distributed in said at least one elastomer.

Footwear midsole with warped lattice structure and method of making the same

A midsole for an article of footwear including a three dimensional mesh including interconnected unit cells and methods of making the same. The interconnected unit cells each include a plurality of struts defining a three dimensional shape. The interconnected unit cells are connected at nodes having a valence number defined by the number of struts connected at that node. The valence number of the nodes may vary to provide customized characteristics to zones or portions of the midsole. The plurality of interconnected unit cells may be organized in a warped cubic lattice structure. The warped cubic lattice structure and the size/shape of interconnected unit cells may vary to provide customized characteristics to zones or portions of the midsole. The three dimensional mesh may be customized based on a biometric data profile for an individual, or group of individuals. The midsole may be manufactured using an additive manufacturing process.

Articles including coated fibers and methods of making coated fibers and articles

The present disclosure is directed to articles that include one or more coated fiber(s) (i.e., fiber(s) with a cured coating disposed thereon), where the coating includes a matrix of crosslinked polymers and optionally a colorant (e.g., pigment particles or dye or both). The cured coating is a product of crosslinking a coating composition including uncrosslinked polymers (e.g., a dispersion of uncrosslinked polymers in a carrier, wherein the uncrosslinked polymers are crosslinked to form the matrix of crosslinked polymers). The present disclosure is also directed to articles including the coated fibers, methods of forming the coated fibers and articles, and methods of making articles including the coated fibers.

SHOCK ABSORPTION AND VENTILATION ENHANCED SHOE SOLE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
20220330651 · 2022-10-20 ·

Disclosed are a shock absorption and ventilation enhanced shoe sole and a preparation method therefor. The shoe sole comprises a body. At least one layer of communication-type air passage is provided in the body, and a plurality of first air holes provided in the circumferential side face of the body and a plurality of second air holes provided in the upper surface of the body cooperate, so that air intake and deflation for heat exhaust can be alternately achieved in the process of alternately lifting a foot and treading of a user, thereby preventing heat from accumulating on the foot sole, being beneficial to foot health, reducing foot perspiration, and helping slow down heart rate acceleration; and in addition, the shoe sole can achieve the functions of shock absorption, buffering, ventilation and power assistance, so that the shoe sole is more comfortable to wear.

Footwear with fluid-filled bladder
11622603 · 2023-04-11 · ·

An article of footwear has a sole structure that includes a bladder having stacked polymeric sheet secured to one another at a peripheral bond and defining a first sealed chamber between the first and second polymeric sheets, a second sealed chamber between the second and third polymeric sheets, and a third sealed chamber between the third and fourth polymeric sheets, each of the first, second, and third sealed chambers retaining fluid in isolation from one another. Different patterns of bonds secure adjacent ones of the polymeric sheets to one another, resulting in different geometries of the sealed chambers. The sealed chambers are configured (e.g., by pressure, shape, position, and/or size) to elastically deform to provide a desirable cushioning experience.

SENSOR LAYER FOR DETERMINING TEMPERATURE PROFILES ON A SKIN SURFACE, AID FOR APPLICATION TO A SKIN SURFACE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN AID, AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A RELATIVE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE ON A SKIN SURFACE

A sensor layer for determining temperature profiles on a skin surface. The sensor layer includes at least one ply, a contact layer with the skin surface, the contact layer being arranged on a top side of the at least one ply, a plurality of temperature sensors arranged at least one of in the at least one ply and on the top side of the at least one ply, and conductor tracks arranged at least one of in the at least one ply and on the top side of the at least one ply. The conductor tracks are electrically connected to the plurality of temperature sensors so that the sensor layer is formed to be flexible and so that a temperature difference on the skin surface can be determined via the contact layer.
