Selective access system for a feeder
A selective access system, and methods of making and using such a system, whereby the selective access system includes a container having an interior space defined by a side wall disposed between opposing top and bottom walls; an opening disposed within the side wall, the opening communicating with the interior space; and a cover slidably engaged with the container, the cover configured to slide upward and downward between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the cover overlays the opening; in the second position, the cover disposes away from at least a portion of the opening to permit access to the interior space. The selective access system can further include an electrical conductor coupled to the container, whereby the electrical conductor can deliver a nonlethal electrical shock to an animal which comes into contact therewith to deter the animal from the selective access system.
Shockem Rodent Deterrent System
Shockem rodent deterrent system is a device that delivers a non-lethal electrical shock to rodents or other animals that contact the system. Shockem rodent deterrent system includes polyelectrical rope, polyelectrical tape or polyelectrical wire, which is attached to the upper surface of a base mat, and which is connected to an electronic charge controller. Polyelectrical rope, polyelectrical tape or polyelectrical wire, is a woven polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride coated fiberglass product with continuous strands of electrical conducting wires woven into or attached to the matrix. Base mat is a flexible, shape conforming, durable, non-electrical conductive, portable or permanent mat constructed from synthetic materials, such as polyester, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, or fiberglass. Alternating strips of polyelectrical rope, polyelectrical tape or polyelectrical wire, every other one designated as a positively charged electrical strip or a negatively charged electrical strip, are attached to the upper surface of the base mat using non-electrical conductive methods. Strips of positively charged polyelectrical rope, polyelectrical tape or polyelectrical wire are isolated from adjacent strips of negatively charged polyelectrical rope, polyelectrical tape or polyelectrical wire by non-electrical conductive material. Positively charged strips and negatively charged strips of polyelectrical rope, polyelectrical tape or polyelectrical wire are attached, respectively, to the positive polarity and negative polarity of an electronic charge controller. Electronic charge controller delivers a pulsing, non-lethal electrical current. Rodents or other animals that come in contact with two or more strips of polyelectrical rope, polyelectrical tape or polyelectrical wire cause the electrical circuit to be completed and a pulsing electrical shock is delivered.

Device for preventing aquatic organisms from jumping out
A problem to be solved by the present invention is to prevent an aquatic creature from jumping out of a water tank without directly contacting the aquatic creature; and a jump-out prevention device for the aquatic creature, which can solve or reduce the problem, is provided. The jump-out prevention device for the aquatic creature includes electrode parts arranged along an inner perimeter of a water tank for keeping the aquatic creature; and a power supply part electrically connected to the electrode parts, and configured to apply electrical pulses to the electrode parts. The electrode parts extend in a horizontal direction partially or entirely over the inner perimeter of the water tank, and are arranged in a predetermined underwater region in the water tank. The electrical pulses are applied to the electrode parts.

Pest control
Various aspects comprise controlling and/or euthanizing vermin or pests for preventing such vermin or pests from entering into a geographical area or into a building, wherein the device comprises at least one completely or partially uninsulated electrically conducting wire or conductor connected to an electrical current source, providing controlled electrical pulses to said conductor or wire in the form of pulses or pulse trains. The device may be used in a method for controlling the access of pests/vermin to a geographical location, building or property wherein the electrically conducting wire(s) lead(s) an electrical current with an amperage of not less than 0.0001 A. The device and method may be particularly suited for removing/controlling pests/vermin on land.
