MOTORIZED SHOE WITH GESTURE CONTROL
An article of footwear includes a motorized tensioning system, sensors, and a gesture control system. Based on information received from one or more sensors the gesture control system may detect a prompting gesture and enters an armed mode for receiving further instructions. In the armed mode the system may detect a variety of different control gestures that correspond to different tensioning commands.
Footwear having sensor system
A sensor system is adapted for use with an article of footwear and includes an insert member including a first layer and a second layer, a port connected to the insert and configured for communication with an electronic module, a plurality of force and/or pressure sensors on the insert member, and a plurality of leads connecting the sensors to the port.
Shoe With Electrostatic and Endogenous Current Conducting Insert
A static electricity discharging shoe with conductive link to ground having a conductive insole contacting with a sole of a foot of a user, and a conductive outer sole contacting with a ground; and an electro-conductive insert, having an upper major and a lower minor base, the insert in electrical communication between the insole and the outer sole, the insert having a lateral geometry proportioned for complemental engagement within a mid-sole situated between the insole and the outer sole, a narrowest middle portion of the insert secured within the mid-sole, the upper surface of the insert positioned opposite to the plantar metatarsal region of the sole of the foot proximally to the K1 acupressure point when the foot abuts the insole, the upper surface of the insert defining a slightly raised pad, having orthopedic benefit in off-loading of metatarsal stresses on the foot in the area of the K1 point.
AUXILIARY OR INTEGRATED INNER SOLE STRUCTURE FOR FOOTWEAR
There is provided an inner sole structure for being mounted to footwear. The footwear comprises a footwear sole defining an outsole for engaging the ground and an inner sole part for supporting a foot of a footwear user. The inner sole structure comprises a support element for being mounted to the inner sole part of the footwear to be engaged by the foot. When the support member is mounted to the inner sole part of the footwear it is positioned to be engaged by a region of the foot corresponding to a position extending between at least near a fifth metatarsal rear end position of the foot to a heel bone position of the foot for providing stability to the foot for controlled supination.
Energy return orthotic systems
Systems and methods are disclosed including a tri-layer orthotic system having a heel portion and a forefoot portion to support respective heel and forefoot portions of a foot through at least a portion of a gait cycle. The tri-layer orthotic system can include an upper layer suspended over a mid-layer and a base layer to create a rear spring section, a mid-spring section, and a front spring section. A distal toe portion of the mid-layer can form the forefoot portion of the tri-layer orthotic system and a heel upper layer portion of the upper layer can form the heel portion of tri-layer orthotic system.
ORTHOTIC DEVICE FOR PLANTAR FASCIITIS AND RELATED METHODS
An orthotic device for treatment of plantar fasciitis in a foot includes a shoe insole having a first longitudinal side and an opposing second longitudinal side, and a first end and an opposing second end. The shoe insole has a shape and size to be positioned within a shoe. The orthotic device also includes a massaging device carried by the shoe insole, where the massaging device is configured to be positioned on the shoe insole to be directly under a plantar fascia of the foot. In addition, the massaging device comprises a dome shape extending away from a surface of the shoe insole, and the massaging device abuts the first longitudinal side.
METHODS FOR DESIGNING A FOOT ORTHOTIC
A foot orthotic device is disclosed. More specifically described is an individualized foot orthotic device to correct and/or restore the ideal alignment and/or positioning of foot structures. The device is designed using a method and system that applies sequential pressure to regions on a plantar foot surface, and obtaining positional information about each region. Based on the positional information, an orthotic profile is determined, for design of one or more custom, individualized foot orthotic devices for a subject.
SHOE SOLE, INSOLE OF SHOE, MAIN SOLE OF SHOE, AND SHOE
An insole, outsole, shoe sole or a shoe formed with the disclosed layered sole includes a small layered sheet including a specific layered sheet. The shoe sole may be formed to include a small layered sheet provided at any one or two or more places of a front foot portion, a middle foot portion or a rear foot portion of the shoe sole, or is provided across two or more positions of the front foot portion, the middle foot portion or the rear foot portion of the shoe sole, the small layered sheet formed of a layered sheet of a plurality of cloths wherein; the cloths formed of a strand of an oriented thermoplastic resin; and the plurality of cloths are integrated by heating and compressing.
SOLE STRUCTURE OF A SHOE AND SHOE WITH SUCH A SOLE STRUCTURE
The present invention concerns a sole structure (10, 110, 910) comprising a tread (11, 111, 911), which comprises at least one portion of breathable material (11, 111, 911), and a midsole (12, 112, 212, 312, 912) coupled to said tread (11, 111, 911), said midsole having:at least one first channel (13, 113, 213, 313, 413, 513, 613, 713, 813) having at least one ventilation port (14) for the fluidic communication with the outside environment, at least one first through opening (15, 115, 215, 315) in fluidic communication with said at least one first channel (13, 113, 213, 313, 413, 513, 613, 713, 813), said sole structure (10, 110, 910) comprises a waterproof and breathable functional element (16, 216, 316) which seals said at least one first opening (15, 115, 215, 315) in a waterproof manner. A shoe (20) with said sole structure (10, 110, 910) is further object of the invention.
Method and apparatus to assist foot motion about the pronation axis
An apparatus that assists foot movement includes a normally twisted plate configured to interact with the foot. The foot has a pronation axis, and the normally twisted plate is biased and configured to twist about a plate axis that substantially approximates the pronation axis in response to a load received from the foot during foot pronation. As the foot pronates, the plate twists to apply a non-linear force substantially about the plate axis.
