An orthopedic shoe insole is provided. The orthopedic shoe insole includes a top layer, a molded plastic layer positioned below the top layer, a cork layer positioned below the molded plastic layer, and a sidewall layer, wherein the sidewall layer is wrapped around at least the molded plastic layer and the cork layer, and wherein the top layer and the sidewall layer have a finished surface, causing the orthopedic shoe insole to have an overall finished surface.

A customizable sole insert for a shoe, the sole insert comprising: a top layer having a first plurality of holes through the top layer; a middle layer having a conforming and curable hardening material; a bottom layer having a second plurality of holes through the bottom layer; wherein the top layer, middle layer, and bottom layers are fastened together by a fastener; wherein a fluid applied to the middle layer causes the middle layer to cure; wherein the middle layer conforms to a plantar aspect area or sole of a foot of a user. Further comprising: a top cover attached to to a top outside surface of the top layer; and, a bottom cover attached to a bottom outside surface of the bottom layer. The customizable sole insert has a method for constructing the sole insert and a method for activating the sole insert.
Manual and dynamic shoe comfortness adjustment methods
Disclosed herein are various methods and devices for modifying the comfort and performance characteristics of a shoe. In various embodiments, the devices are soles, insole or outsoles, of a shoe comprising one or more shocks. The shocks may be defined by shock cavities positioned within one or more surfaces of a sole. In some embodiments the shock cavity may be configured to receive one or more shock cavity inserts.

Embodiments are directed to an insole for footwear. The insole preferably includes a bottom surface, a peripheral sidewall, and a relief. The bottom surface has a perimeter, and the peripheral sidewall preferably extends upward from the perimeter of the bottom surface. The relief is preferably disposed in the peripheral sidewall.

Footwear with internal chassis and/or indexed sock liner
A chassis for an article of footwear may include a base and a frame attached to a top side of the base. The frame may include a network of interconnected walls defining a plurality of cells, each of at least a portion of the cells having a bottom at least partially closed by an underlying portion of the base. A bottom of the base may be fixed with respect to a plantar section of an upper. A sock liner may be indexed to the chassis or to another footwear support structure. The sock liner may have downwardly-extending tabs configured to rest in cells of the chassis or in other cavities of a support structure.

The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for generating orthotic device models using simulated patient anatomy. In one implementation, a method comprises receiving images of a body part of a patient; deriving physical measurements from the images; generating anatomy model data of the body part using the physical measurements; and generating orthotic model data based on the anatomy model data, the orthotic model data being representative of an orthotic device.
