The present disclosure relates to an insole including a lower layer, an upper layer and an intermediate layer arranged between the lower layer and the upper layer. The lower layer or base of the insole is a supporting layer designed to be placed, in use conditions of the insole, above a sole of an item of footwear. The upper layer is designed to be placed, in use conditions of the insole, in contact with a foot, with or without a sock, of a user. The intermediate layer includes natural feathers distributed uniformly and treated so as not to allow displacement thereof along the intermediate layer. The disclosure further relates to an upper of an item of footwear.

In a first embodiment, air flow facilitated by said insole provides for convective heat transfer away from the plantar surface of the foot. The bottom layer defines a plurality of ridges and channel lining portions which together define a plurality of air channels. The bottom layer defines a heel recess in which a heel pad is situated. In a second embodiment, an insole which collects, retains, and heats a user's foot is disclosed. Said insole further comprises a middle layer of thermal reflective material secured to and coextensive with a top layer and a bottom layer secured to said middle layer.

An insole is provided that is constructed out of a mesh material that is stretched and suspended over a cavity formed in a shoe. The mesh surrounds a foam base and a rigid frame positioned under the foam base. The foam base is shaped so that a cavity is formed between the top surface of the foam base and the mesh positioned over the foam base to provide a trampoline effect for a wearer's foot.

The boot liner comprises a cushioned, moisture absorbent material that absorbs moisture and also improves comfort while wearing an orthopedic boot, such as a walker boot. The liner comprises a body portion adapted to form along the sole of a wearer's foot, the body portion having an upper surface and an underside surface. The heel end of the liner has a curved edge with an upstanding lip extending upwards therefrom to support the wearer's heel, while the mid-body portion of the liner comprises a pair of lateral wings. The pair of wings extends from the sides of the liner and form over an upper surface of the wearer's foot when the wearer's foot is within the liner
