Provided herein are isoergoline compounds and pharmaceutical compositions thereof. In other embodiments, provided herein are methods of treatment, prevention, or amelioration of a variety of medical disorders such as, for example, migraine using the compounds and pharmaceutical compositions disclosed herein. In still other embodiments, provided herein are methods of agonizing receptors such as, for example, the 5-HT.sub.1A, 5-HT.sub.1B and 5-HT.sub.1D receptors without agonizing the 5-HT.sub.2B receptor using the compounds and pharmaceutical compositions disclosed herein. In still other embodiments, provided herein are methods of antagonizing the 5-HT.sub.2B adrenergic alpha.sub.2A and/or the alpha.sub.2B receptors using the compounds and pharmaceutical compositions disclosed herein. In still other embodiments, provided herein are methods of antagonizing the D2 and D3 receptor using the compounds and pharmaceutical compositions disclosed herein.

In some aspects, pharmaceutical compounds are disclosed which may be useful for treating anxiety and/or other disorders. In another aspect, a pharmaceutical composition includes a therapeutically effective amount of the compound(s) and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle therefor. In yet another aspect, a method of treating anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, tobacco addiction, alcohol addiction, cocaine addiction, headache, cluster headache, or cancer-related or other end-of-life psychological distress involves administering the pharmaceutical composition to an individual in need thereof.
