12213477 · 2025-02-04 ·

An aquatic turtle decoy floated out to a chum slick is disclosed. The decoy has a chum ball on its back and includes apertures for dispensing chum, to replenish the chum slick. A silhouette of a turtle floating on an open water surface is visible and attracts game fish below. Sea birds, attracted to the chum ball on the decoy back, often cause a commotion at the open water surface, serving to further attract game fish to the aquatic turtle decoy.

Air movement visualization device
09739796 · 2017-08-22 · ·

A portable device for checking wind direction discharges a visible, and optionally scented, vapor (e.g., smoke) stream into the atmosphere in a well-defined reference direction. In some embodiments, the device includes a power source, a vessel having an internal plenum chamber storing a volume of air, a reservoir containing a vaporizable agent e.g., smoke producing fluid), a vaporizing element (e.g., resistance heating device) associated with the vaporizable agent, and a switch. The vessel is deformable to generate an airflow. The switch temporarily connects the power source to the vaporizing element, thereby energizing the vaporizing element to generate vapor. The airflow also carries the vapor into the atmosphere as a visible vapor stream flowing in the reference direction. The reservoir and vaporizing element may be carried in a cartridge (e.g., custom E-Cig component) removably mounted on the device.

Variably Controlled Lighting Mechanism for Feeders
20170188440 · 2017-06-29 ·

A variably controlled lighting mechanism, sometimes referenced as a hog light, may be attached to the underside of a feeder and used in non-daylight hours to provide selective illumination through more than one color of LED light that may be inset within the hog light. The hog light may include one or more sensors that may be triggered based on motion by animals within the vicinity of the hog light. The hog light may then turn on and stay lit for a specified length of time or until no further movement is detected. A wireless remote may include a series of inputs that may control various aspects of the hog light, particularly to illuminate the different LED lights that are integrated within the hog light, as well as to control the motor and/or feeder. The hog light also may be manually operated to selectively illuminate the different LED lights.

The airflow also carries the vapor into the atmosphere as a visible vapor stream flowing in the reference direction. Other embodiments operate similarly, but use alternative means for generating gaseous flow to operate the switch and/or carry vapor into the atmosphere.

Breath-Powered Vapor Distribution Device and Game Call

Device embodiments use a person's exhaled breath to distribute an evaporated, sublimated, or vaporized material. The disclosure provides non-powered devices that use evaporation or sublimation to create the vapor that is distributed and the disclosure provides devices with electric vaporizers which rapidly vaporize liquid scent materials for distribution. The scent can be designed as a masking or cover scent, an aromatic lure scent, a scent elimination material, a pleasant scent for freshening air in a room or automobile, or a repellant scent. The device can be worn as a mask or configured as a game call.
