Provide herein is a deer rub or lure and a method of luring a deer to a selected area. The deer rub or lure has a trunk or signpost with at least one aperture extending therein. A flexible rod extends into at least one of the apertures. Each of the flexible rods extends from the trunk or signpost at an angle between 90° and 180°. A licking branch is attached to the flexible rod. A flexible support extends from a lower end of the trunk or signpost, and the support is configured to flexibly support the trunk or signpost in a substantially vertical orientation.

A powdered scent compound and related methods of application for adhering the powdered scent compound to a desired application area. The powdered scent compound can comprise a porous carrier powder, an adhesive compound and a synthetic scent compound. The powdered scent compound is shelf-stable and convenient to apply, carry and store. Furthermore, the powdered scent compound can adhere to applied surfaces, thereby ensuring that powdered scent compound remains where it is applied, even in locations where the potential exists for the compound to drip or be blown from.

An animal feed trough that includes a base having a triangular configuration defined by a central ridge extending along a length of the base, tapering downwardly and outwardly from the central ridge to define a plurality of feed dishes extending along the length of the base. A body having a side wall panel and opposing, spaced-apart end caps defining an interior for storing a supply of grain is adapted for being mounted on and supported by the base and having an open bottom for gravity flow of grain from the body onto the base and into the plurality of feed dishes. An opening is provided in the body for introducing grain into the interior of the body, and a lid panel is provided for covering and closing the opening in the body.

A deer feeder chute assembly is provided. The device may include a baseplate that may be attached to an aftermarket barrel or other container for holding animal feed. A chute is disposed on one face of the baseplate, the chute having an input opening at one end and an output port disposed at an opposing end. The baseplate also includes a plurality of mounting apertures for receiving fasteners to attach the aftermarket barrel to the baseplate.

A scent vaporizing and distribution device uses an electric heating element to rapidly vaporize a liquid scent material. An airflow generator is used to create a distribution airflow that distributes the vapor from the device. The airflow generator can be an electric-powered fan or a manually-powered pump or squeezable bladder. The liquid scent material can include a glycol or a water-glycol mixture. A scent material such as liquid or powdered deer urine or a pleasant scent that can be used as a room or automobile or room freshener is mixed with the liquid. The vapor generator can be removable and replaceable such that different scents can be used with a single airflow generator or an empty generator can be replaced.

A selective access system, and methods of making and using such a system, whereby the selective access system includes a container having an interior space defined by a side wall disposed between opposing top and bottom walls; an opening disposed within the side wall, the opening communicating with the interior space; and a cover slidably engaged with the container, the cover configured to slide upward and downward between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the cover overlays the opening; in the second position, the cover disposes away from at least a portion of the opening to permit access to the interior space. The selective access system can further include an electrical conductor coupled to the container, whereby the electrical conductor can deliver a nonlethal electrical shock to an animal which comes into contact therewith to deter the animal from the selective access system.

The portable systems and methods to dispense molecules may contain a liquid, gel, solid, foam, or other material-based formulation so as to attract, repel, kill, mask, or otherwise use the molecules. The portable system and methods may include a housing; a molecule holding pad in the housing; a first chemical reaction heat source in the housing; and a second chemical reaction heat source in the housing, wherein the molecule holding pad is arranged between the first chemical reaction heat source and the second chemical reaction heat source, and wherein the first chemical reaction heat source and the second chemical reaction heat source are each reactive to oxygen.

An artificial licking branch comprising a unitary, portable, and handheld branch body of a polymeric material and a plurality of cantilevered branch members, each projecting outwardly away from the branch body and including an absorbent textile material patch disposed along a portion of the branch member length on each of the plurality of cantilevered branch members. The absorbent textile material is designed to absorb and store natural and synthetic preorbital deer scents or lures for the purpose of indicating deer presence to other deer and for improving hunters' scouting and hunting experience upon their being able to monitor the number and type of deer that physically interact with the artificial licking branch.
