An outer sole for a golf shoe includes a plurality of cleats distributed along a forefoot area and a heel area. The cleats are integrated with the outer sole and extend from a surface of the outer sole that faces away from the shoe. The plurality of cleats includes at least a larger sized set of cleats and a smaller sized set of cleats. Such outer sole for a golf shoe gives good traction on the golf course but is also useable as a casual shoe off the golf course.

Athletic footwear and cleats comprise a first molded layer comprising a rigid substrate including a hole for connecting the molded layer to a shoe, and wherein the first molded layer is adapted to engage binding elements of a pedal, and a second molded layer formed on the bottom portion of the first molded layer, the second molded layer substantially conforming to a shape of a portion of the first molded layer. The second molded layer forms a soft walking surface adapted to provide traction with a walking surface and a raised portion formed thereon, the raised portion adapted to impact float friction during operation. The first molded layer may include nylon, and the second molded layer comprises a thermoplastic elastomer, a thermoplastic polyurethane, and/or a silicone substrate. A third molded layer may be provided to reduce contact friction between the cleat and the pedal of an exercise cycle.

A pair of shoes that includes a left foot shoe and a right foot shoe. Each of the shoes include an upper shoe portion and a sole coupled to the upper shoe portion. The sole provides an athletic positioning of a left big toe area of the left shoe at a lower position than a left heel area of the left shoe and at a lower position than an outer small toe area of the left shoe and wherein, from an inner edge to an outer edge of the left shoe, the left heel area has substantially no slope.

An article of footwear includes a midsole, a cleat plate including a bottom surface that faces toward a ground surface when the article of footwear is worn by a user, and a traction element connected with the cleat plate. The traction element includes a base member that is embedded within the cleat plate and a ground engaging member that extends from the base member and is exposed and extends transversely from the bottom surface of the cleat plate, where the ground engaging member has a length that is greater than a lengthwise dimension of the base member.

An article of footwear with an arrangement of cleats is disclosed. The arrangement of cleats may enhance traction during the first step of sprinting, quick directional changes, and backward movement. The arrangement of cleats may be disposed on a base plate and may include a first angled cleat aligned with the hallux of a user and a second angled cleat disposed proximate a rearward edge of the base plate. The first angled cleat and two flat cleats may be aligned with the perimeter of a circle on the forefoot region of the base plate.

A system and method for forming 3D printed structures includes printing an outer shell portion and filling an interior of the outer shell portion to form an inner portion. The outer shell portion and inner portion may have differing material properties. The outer shell portion may be anchored to the base component.

Presented are S-shaped cleats for footwear, methods for making/using S-shaped cleats, and footwear fabricated with S-shaped cleats. A cleat structure for an article of footwear includes a mounting base, such as a pair of coplanar mounting plates, that attaches to the footwear's sole structure. A center wall projects downwardly from the mounting base and has opposing lateral sides with a distal end extending therebetween. A pair of sidewalls each projects downwardly from the base and adjoins a respective lateral side of the center wall. Each sidewall has a respective angled edge that projects at an oblique angle from the distal end of the center wall. The two sidewalls are located on opposing sides of the center wall; the sidewalls may be parallel to and extend in opposite directions of each other. The center wall and sidewalls may be substantially flat panels with multiple polygonal faces or may have arcuate sides.

A traction cleat assembly for a golf shoe includes a hub and removable cover affixed to the hub body in a fixed position with mated sealing engagement between the hub and removable cover defining a, the hub body including a minor driven fitting comprising one of a female fitting and male fitting defined in the hub bottom surface, and the cover top surface including a minor driving fitting for mating engagement with the minor driven fitting to define mated engagement therebetween.

A shoe may include an upper and a sole structure. The upper may include a shell and first, second, third, and fourth sets of tensile restraints. Each of the sets may have one or more tensile restraints extending over and/or through a corresponding portion of the shell. The shell may be engaged with the sole structure and define an interior void configured to receive insertion of a user's foot. The first, second, third, and fourth sets of tensile restraints may be configured so that, upon securing of one or more structures to tighten the upper and connect the sets of tensile restraints, two linear axes of tension with anchors located in the forefoot and heel region extend diagonally across the article from one side to the other.

An outsole for an article of footwear includes a plantar surface and a peripheral surface surrounding the plantar surface. The outsole for an article of footwear also includes an annular cleat set including a first plurality of traction elements arranged in series about a central axis on the plantar surface. The outsole for an article of footwear further includes one or more radial cleat sets each including a second plurality of the traction elements aligned along a respective radial axis intersecting the central axis. At least one of the second plurality of the traction elements includes a peripheral cleat formed on the peripheral surface.
