POLYPROPYLENE COMPOSITION WITH IMPROVED PROCESSABILITY AND IMPACT STRENGTH
The present invention relates to heterophasic polypropylene compositions comprising a propylene homo- or copolymer forming a crystalline fraction as a matrix and an amorphous propylene ethylene elastomer as a soluble fraction dispersed in said matrix. The heterophasic polypropylene compositions further comprise an elastomeric ethylene/alpha-olefin random copolymer. The heterophasic polypropylene compositions have a well-balanced relation between stiffness and impact strength, low volatile and semi-volatile emissions and good processability.

High impact polypropylene impact copolymer
Disclosed is a polypropylene with an MFR of at least 20 g/10 min comprising a homopolypropylene and within a range from 2 wt % to 20 wt % of a propylene-α-olefin copolymer by weight of the polypropylene, where the homopolypropylene has a MFR within a range from 30 g/10 min to 200 g/10 min, where the propylene-α-olefin copolymer comprises within a range from 30 wt % to 50 wt % α-olefin derived units by weight of the propylene-α-olefin copolymer, and has an IV within a range from 4 to 9 dL/g. The polypropylene may be obtained by combining a Ziegler-Natta catalyst having two transition metals with propylene in reactors in series to produce the homopolypropylene followed by a gas phase reactor to produce a propylene-α-olefin copolymer blended with the homopolypropylene.
Sole structures including polyolefin plates and articles of footwear formed therefrom
Sole structures including a plate including a first polyolefin resin, and an edge portion comprising a second resin are disclosed herein. The edge portion is more flexible or less rigid than the plate. Articles of footwear formed from the sole structures are also provided. Methods of making the polyolefin resin compositions, plates, edge portions, sole structures, and articles of footwear are also provided. In some aspects, the first polyolefin resin composition includes an effective amount of a polymeric resin modifier.
