20210047447 · 2021-02-18 · ·

The object of the invention is to provide a novel olefin-based molded product useful for various applications.

An olefin-based molded product comprising a polymer including a structural unit of at least one polar olefin monomer represented by the general formula (I) CH.sub.2CHR.sup.2Z(R.sup.1).sub.n is provided. In the formula, Z is a hetero atom selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, sulfur, and selenium; R.sup.1 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms; n is an integer of 1 or 2 depending on the atomic species of Z; and R.sup.2 is a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbylene group having 2 to 20 carbon atoms.

Polyethylene and Chlorinated Polyethylene Thereof

A polyethylene according to the present disclosure maintains a stable crystal structure at a high temperature and ensures excellent uniformity in chlorine distribution, thereby preparing a chlorinated polyethylene having excellent chlorination productivity and thermal stability by reacting with chlorine, and may also prepare a PVC compound with improved impact strength by including the chlorinated polyethylene.

Permanently tacky adhesives with improved environmental compatibility

The invention provides resin- and mineral oil-free pressure-sensitive adhesive compositions, comprising 55%-100% by weight of a copolymer of propylene and one or more further monomers selected from the group composed of ethylene and 1-olefins having 4 to 20 carbon atoms, wherein the copolymer has been prepared with the aid of metallocene catalysts and is characterized by a. a melt viscosity at 170 C. of 20 to 8000 mPas (DIN 53019); b. a density of 0.84 to 0.90 g/cm.sup.3 (23 C., ISO 1183); c. a glass transition temperature of less than 30 C. (DIN EN ISO 11357-2:2014); and d. a flow point, measured according to ASTM D97, of less than 50 C.,
which due to their permanently tacky properties are suitable as pressure-activated pressure-sensitive adhesives.

METHACRYLIC RESIN, SHAPED ARTICLE, AND OPTICAL COMPONENT OR AUTOMOTIVE PART

A methacrylic resin having a cyclic structure in a main chain thereof, a shaped article, and an optical component or automotive part, in which the glass transition temperature is higher than 120 C. and 160 C. or lower, and the sign of the orientational birefringence when being oriented so as to have a degree of orientation of 0.03 is different from the sign of the orientational birefringence when being oriented so as to have a degree of orientation of 0.08.
