Aqueous hydrophobic polyurethane dispersions are made from urethane prepolymers derived from reacting constituents including at least one polyisocyanate, vegetable oil based saturated monoglycerides, non-isocyanate based urethane polyols prepared from polyamines and cyclic carbonates, at least one long-chain polymeric polyol or long-chain polyol from biorenewable resources, polyols with hydrophilic groups, optional polydimethysiloxane based polyols with hydroxyl functional groups terminated in one end and alkyl groups terminated in another end.

ISOCYANATE-FREE SYNTHESIS OF CARBONATE-MODIFIED POLYMERS
The present invention relates to an isocyanate-free and preferably solvent-free process for preparing polymers containing five-membered cyclic carbonate groups. In particular, the present invention is directed to a process for preparing polymers bearing cyclic carbonate groups by reacting carboxyl-bearing polymers selected from the group including polyesters based on di- or polyols and di- or polycarboxylic acids or derivatives thereof or poly(meth)acrylates, with hydroxyl-functionalized five-membered cyclic carbonates, without addition of isocyanates.
ISOCYANATE-FREE SYNTHESIS OF CARBONATE-MODIFIED POLYMERS
The present invention relates to an isocyanate-free and preferably solvent-free process for preparing polymers containing five-membered cyclic carbonate groups. In particular, the present invention is directed to a process for preparing polymers bearing cyclic carbonate groups by reacting carboxyl-bearing polymers selected from the group including polyesters based on di- or polyols and di- or polycarboxylic acids or derivatives thereof or poly(meth)acrylates, with hydroxyl-functionalized five-membered cyclic carbonates, without addition of isocyanates.
Graphene-enabled anti-corrosion coating
Provided is a graphene-based aqueous coating suspension comprising multiple graphene sheets, particles of an anti-corrosive pigment or sacrificial metal, and a waterborne binder resin dissolved or dispersed in water, wherein the multiple graphene sheets contain single-layer or few-layer graphene sheets selected from a pristine graphene material having essentially zero % of non-carbon elements, or a non-pristine graphene material having 0.001% to 47% by weight of non-carbon elements wherein the non-pristine graphene is selected from graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, graphene fluoride, graphene chloride, graphene bromide, graphene iodide, hydrogenated graphene, nitrogenated graphene, doped graphene, chemically functionalized graphene, or a combination thereof and wherein the coating suspension does not contain a silicate binder or microspheres dispersed therein. Also provided is an object or structure coated at least in part with such a coating.
