The invention relates to a branched carboxylic acid functional polyester resin P1 as described herein. USE OF A COATING COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF COATING A CAN
Use of a coating composition in the reduction or prevention of insufficient venting of a beverage can, the beverage can comprising a can body and a can end having a score line on said can end, wherein the coating composition comprises a polyester material, wherein the coating composition is applied to at least the internal surface of the can end over at least a portion of the score line, and wherein a cured film formed from the coating composition has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of at least 50 C. A method of coating a can comprising a can body and a can end having a score line on said can end, wherein the method comprises applying a coating composition to at least a portion of an internal surface of the can end over at least a portion of the score line, the coating composition comprising a polyester material; and curing the coating composition to form a cured film, wherein the cured film has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of at least 50 C., wherein the can, when filled with a carbonated beverage and sealed, exhibits sufficient venting upon rupture of the score line.
Soil and dirt repellent powder coatings
A dirt repellant panel coated with a powder coating composition that includes a polymeric binder and an anionic fluorosurfactant present in an amount ranging from about 0.1 wt. % to about 4 wt. %.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL ADDITIVE FOR MAR AND SCRATCH RESISTANCE IN CHEMICAL COATING COMPOSITIONS
A mar and scratch resistant additive that possesses multifunctional and other characteristics is described. The additive comprises a binder system platform that is easily introduced into a wide range of chemical coating platforms. The additive may also be introduced to these coatings by way of a silica carrier to simplify its use.

Curable unsaturated crystalline polyester powder and methods of making the same
A process for producing unsaturated polyester microparticles comprising: melt-mixing an unsaturated polyester and an oil in an extruder; washing the microparticles with an organic solvent to reduce the amount of oil; and removing the organic solvent to form the microparticles.
THERMOSETTING POWDER COATING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING PEROXYDICARBONATES
The invention relates to thermosetting powder coating compositions as disclosed herein, said compositions comprising one or more unsaturated resins comprising ethylenic unsaturations, one or more curing agents, and one or more thermal radical initiators, wherein at least one of the initiators is a peroxydicarbonate-X. The invention further relates to a process for making said thermosetting powder coating compositions and processes for coating an article with said thermosetting powder coating compositions. The invention further relates to cured thermosetting powder coating compositions obtained by curing of the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention. The invention further relates to an article having coated thereon said thermosetting powder coating composition as well as to an article having coated and cured thereon said thermosetting powder coating composition. The invention further relates to the use of said thermosetting powder coating compositions, to the use of an article having coated thereon said thermosetting powder coating compositions and to the use of an article having coated and cured thereon said thermosetting powder coating compositions. The invention further relates to various uses of either the thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention, or the cured thermosetting powder coating compositions of the invention or of articles having coated thereon the thermosetting powder coating composition of the invention, or of articles having coated and cured thereon the thermosetting powder coating composition of the invention. The invention further relates to a method for enabling the fast heat-curing of a thermosetting powder coating composition at low temperature. Powder coating material, coated article and processes for their production
To provide a powder coating material capable of forming, by one coating, a cured film which has a double-layered structure comprising a cured resin layer and a fluororesin layer and which is excellent in weather resistance, wherein the fluororesin layer is less likely to be peeled for a long period of time; a coated article; and processes for their production. The powder coating material comprises a powder (X) composed of a composition () comprising a fluororesin (A) and an ultraviolet absorber (B), and a powder (Y) composed of a composition () comprising a thermosetting resin (C) other than a fluororesin, a curing agent (D) and a light stabilizer (E).
POWDER COATING COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a powder coating composition containing a binder combination. The binder combination comprises the following components: A) 15 to 70 wt. % of the binder of one or more amorphous carboxyl group-containing polyester resins, having an arithmetically averaged acid number of 50 to 100 mg KOH/g, B) 20 to 50 wt. % of the binder of one or more epoxide group-containing polymers with an arithmetically averaged epoxide equivalent weight of 350 to 650 g/eq, preferably 400 to 650 g/eq, preferably based on bisphenol A and phenol novolak, C) 5 to 55 wt. % of the binder of one or more crystalline or semi-crystalline carboxyl group-containing polyester resins, having an arithmetically averaged acid number of 15 to 00 mg KOH/g, D) 0.5 to 6 wt. % (based on the entire formulation) of one or more catalysts (accelerants) for the crosslinking reaction(s), and optionally E) 0 to 10 wt. % (based on the entire formulation) of one or more components with reactive groups for the crosslinking reaction(s) with the carboxyl groups and/or epoxide groups of the components A), B), and C). The polyester resins according to A) and. C) contain a sum of 15 to 75 wt. %, preferably 15 to 60 wt. % and particularly preferably 20 to 50 wt. %, based on the monomers used for the synthesis, of linear and unbranched aliphatic diols or the derivatives thereof and/or linear and unbranched aliphatic dicarboxylic acids or the derivatives thereof. The invention additionally relates to a method for producing such a powder coating composition and to the use thereof.
