METHOD OF ASSESSING THE HOMOGENEITY OF PLASTICS
20230106029 · 2023-04-06 ·

Fluorescent pigment is introduced into the plastic composition, preferably a thermoplastic, especially polyethylene or polypropylene, in the granules formation stage, in addition to possible standard components of the composite, mixed, granules are formed, and then the granules are formed into a finished building material component, and then, with the help of a known fluorimeter, the fluorescence intensity of individual parts of the surface of a plastic element is measured and the homogeneity of the material is inferred on the basis of the differences in the results of the fluorescence intensity measurements.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ODOUR ABATEMENT IN RUBBER PROCESSING
20230151161 · 2023-05-18 ·

Heating of rubber products during processing produces odours which may be abated by commingling the rubber product with fabric softener. The fabric softener may be commingled with the rubber product via a dip tank filled with fabric softener solution, by applying fabric softener to the rubber product prior to heating/processing the rubber product, by injecting the fabric softener into an extruder that is heating/processing the rubber product, and by treating the by-product exiting the side stream of the extruder.
