Also provided is a method of producing such silicone foam sheet. The silicone foam sheet comprises an open-cell structure having a thickness of from 10 m to 3,000 m, wherein an open-cell ratio is 90% or more, an average cell diameter of the silicone foam sheet is from 1 m to 50 m, and 90% or more of all cells therein each has a cell diameter of 80 m or less.
POROUS POLYMER COATINGS
The present invention provides porous polymer coatings having adhesive and air flow resistive properties. The porous polymer coating comprises a polymeric foam having a void fraction of greater than about 15% and an air permeability greater than 3 cubic feet per minute per square foot as measured based on ASTM D737-04, wherein the polymeric foam comprises a clay and/or pigment optionally having an aspect ratio of about 2:1, 5:1, or 10:1 to about 20:1, 50:1, or 100:1. In some embodiments, the porous polymer coating comprises a chlorinated polymer and a fluorochemical.
COMPOSITE PARTICLES, COMPOSITIONS AND FOAM COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING COMPOSITE PARTICLES, ARTICLES, AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
Composite particles are provided including a chemical blowing agent particle encapsulated within a shell including an uncrosslinked thermoplastic material. The uncrosslinked thermoplastic material exhibits at least a certain minimum complex viscosity at a decomposition temperature of the chemical blowing agent particle. Also described are compositions and foam compositions containing the composite particles. Further, articles are provided including the foam compositions, such as a sheet, tape, or hearing protection article. Methods of making and using the foam compositions are additionally described herein.
Super-vibration damping thermoplastic elastomer blends and articles made therewith
A thermoplastic elastomer compound includes hydrogenated styrenic block copolymer having a polyisoprene soft block, styrene-isobutylene-styrene block copolymer, tackifier having a softening point of at least about 80 C. according to ASTM 6493, and, optionally, one or more additional thermoplastic elastomers. The compound has a Compound Tan Delta Peak Temperature (at 10 Hz) of at least 10 C. and a Compound Tan Delta Peak Height (at 10 Hz) of at least 0.85 if no thermoplastic polyurethane is present and at least 0.60 if additional thermoplastic elastomer is present and includes thermoplastic polyurethane. The thermoplastic elastomer compound exhibits superior damping properties across a broad range of temperatures, including at or above room temperature, and across a broad range of vibrational frequencies. The compound in sheet form can be used as a layer in an article of a structure susceptible to forceful impact of any item.
HOLLOW PARTICLE MADE OF THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMERS AND POROUS MOULDED BODIES
Hollow beads having a skin of thermoplastic elastomer and a gas-filled cell are useful in the manufacture of shaped porous articles by thermally bonding or adhering the hollow beads together.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FLEXIBLE SEALANT WITH DENSITY MODIFIER
The disclosed latex system comprises a one-component, closed-cell, semi-foam, mastic sealant using gas-filled, flexible, organic microspheres to create a product that is elastic and compressible under pressure without protruding in an outward direction when compressed, thereby allowing the applied sealant to compress in an enclosed, maximum-filled channel unlike typical mastic sealants (while retaining the ability to rebound). This allows the sealant to function as a gasket, and, once fully cured, to have properties including vibration damping, insulating, and condensation resistance. The sealant can be formulated as an air barrier or a vapor barrier and at various degrees of moisture resistance. It may be applied by different packaging variations including aerosol can (bag in can or bag on valve), airless sprayer, cartridge tubes, foil tubes, squeeze tubes, and buckets to be applied using a brush, trowel, spatula, etc. The disclosed mastic sealant can also be formulated to be smoke-resistant and flame-resistant.

POLYOLEFIN RESIN FOAM AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF AND ADHESIVE TAPE
One object of the present invention is to provide a polyolefin resin foam sheet suitable as a sealing substrate having both flexibility and heat resistance despite its thinness, and an adhesive tape in which the polyolefin resin foam sheet is used. In order to achieve this, the polyolefin resin foam includes a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein the endothermic peaks measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) occur in the range of at least 110 C. or more and 143 C. or less and at 153 C. or more, and the thermoplastic elastomer resin is contained at a ratio of 30% by mass or more and 60% by mass or less in 100% by mass of the polyolefin resin.
