System, Composition, and Method for Dispensing a Sprayable Foamable Product
A system for the application of foamable chemical compositions is presented. The application system comprises an ergonomic handle/adapter removably attachable to a pressurized source of a foam product, the handle having inlet and outlet orifices or openings for flow of the foam product from the pressurized source to a nozzle, the nozzle having an outlet orifice for dispensing the foam product and an inlet orifice for connecting to a flexible tubular connecting member which interconnects the outlet orifice of the handle/adapter with the inlet orifice of the nozzle. The nozzle of the present invention includes design features to produce a fan shaped spray pattern of the foam product and to reduce the incidence of leakage or dripping of either moisture or the foam product at the nozzle's outlet. The tubular connecting member is flexible and therefore allows a user to spray foam into hard to reach places.

STABLE TWO COMPONENT SPRAY FOAM COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING HYDROHALOOLEFIN PROPELLANT OR BLOWING AGENT
A formulation technology for low pressure two component polyurethane foam-funning compositions containing gaseous hydrohaloolefin blowing agents is described with improved storage stability and extended shelf-life. The B-side component of the formulations contain a gaseous hydrohaloolefin blowing agent and a polyol pre-mix, the polyol pre-mix comprising liquid blowing agent, polyol, and a catalyst containing at least one catalytic metal compound.
Alkoxysilane-terminated prepolymer based on polyether carbonate polyols, for spray foams
The present invention relates to an alkoxysilane-terminated prepolymer, characterized in that it is obtainable by reaction of at least A) a polyol, B) a compound having two or more isocyanate groups, and C) an alkoxysilane having at least an isocyanate group and/or an isocyanate-reactive group, wherein the polyol A) comprises at least a polyethercarbonatepolyol obtainable by addition of carbon dioxide and alkylene oxides onto H-functional starter molecules. The present invention further relates to a process for preparing the alkoxysilane-terminated prepolymer of the present invention and also to a composition and a multicomponent system comprising an alkoxysilane-terminated prepolymer of the present invention. The present invention further relates to a shaped article obtainable by polymerizing the alkoxysilane-terminated prepolymer of the present invention, by polymerizing a composition of the present invention or by polymerizing a multicomponent system of the present invention. The present invention further relates to a pressurized can containing an alkoxysilane-terminated prepolymer of the present invention, a composition of the present invention or a multicomponent system of the present invention.
COMPOSITION OF HIGH FLAME RETARDING POLYURETHANE FOAM AND INSULATOR COMPRISING THE SAME
Disclosed herein is a highly flame retardant polyurethane spray foam composition. The composition includes 100 parts by weight to 200 parts by weight an isocyanate compound relative to 100 parts by weight of a resin mixture including 46 wt % to 75 wt % of a polyol, 10 wt % to 30 wt % of a blowing agent, and 5 wt % to 30 wt % of an additive, wherein the polyol includes 1 wt % to 10 wt % of a polyether polyol and 45 wt % to 65 wt % of an aromatic polyester polyol, and the aromatic polyester polyol has an average hydroxyl value of 250 mgKOH/g to 380 mgKOH/g.
SPRAY FOAMS CONTAINING NON-HALOGENATED FIRE RETARDANTS
A spray foam formulation used to form a spray foam insulation layer in a wall structure is described. The formulation may include the reaction product of a polyisocyanate compound and a polyol compound; a fire retardant chosen from at least one of a non-halogenated fire retardant; and a reactive halogen-containing fire retardant, and a carbohydrate. The spray foam insulation layer has an insulative R value of 3.0 to 7.2 per inch, and a density of between about 0.3 to about 4.5 pcf. Further, spray foam insulation made from the spray foam formulation may have fire retardant characteristics that are equivalent to or better than a similar spray insulation foam insulation using non-reactive halogenated fire retardants such as tris(1-chloro-2-propyl)phosphate (TCPP).

POLYURETHANE FOAM-FORMING COMPOSITIONS, METHODS OF MAKING LOW DENSITY FOAMS USING SUCH COMPOSITIONS, AND FOAMS FORMED THEREFROM
Disclosed are polyurethane foam-forming compositions with a phase stable isocyanate-reactive composition that includes a halogenated olefin blowing agent that has low or no ozone depletion potential and low global warming potential. Such polyurethane foam-forming compositions are suitable for spray application to produce polyurethane foams that are believed to exhibit good fire resistance properties, low smoke generation and low or no scorch due to reduced exotherm, thereby making them particularly suitable for use, for example, as relatively thick wall and/or roof insulation.
FOAM COMPOSITIONS
Foam compositions are provided. The compositions are prepared from multi-functional acetoacetate esters and multi-functional amines or acrylates. The foam compositions can include one or more additives. The foam compositions can be used for home and commercial insulation, air sealing sound proofing, structural improvement, and exterior roofing, among other applications. The foam compositions provide advantages of being isocyanate free and offer reduced exposure to isocyanate.
