RESIN FOAM PARTICLES, RESIN FOAM SHAPED PRODUCT, AND LAMINATE
Provided are resin foam particles that enable shaping of a sound absorbing member having excellent sound absorption performance through a resin foam shaped product. Also provided is a laminate that includes a resin foam shaped product as a base material and with which high sound absorption performance can be obtained even when the laminate is a thin material. The resin foam particles contain a resin and have a recessed external part. A ratio .sub.0/.sub.1 of density of the resin .sub.0 and true density .sub.1 of the resin foam particles is 2 to 20, and a ratio .sub.1/.sub.2 of true density .sub.1 of the resin foam particles and bulk density .sub.2 of the resin foam particles is 1.5 to 4.0.
Poly(imide-ester-amide) copolymer and optical film
A poly(imide-ester-amide) copolymer and an optical film are provided. The poly(imide-ester-amide) copolymer includes imide bonds, ester bonds, and amide bonds. A molar ratio of the imide bonds, the ester bonds, and the amide bonds is 40 to 80:10 to 30:5 to 30. The imide bonds are derived from an aromatic diamine monomer and a tetracarboxylic dianhydride monomer. The amide bonds are derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid dichloride monomer and an aromatic diamine monomer or is derived from the aromatic dicarboxylic acid dichloride monomer and an alkoxysilane containing an amine group or an isocyanate group.

Poly(ester amide) macromers and polymers thereof
Amino acid-based poly(ester amide) (PEA) macromers (e.g., functional PEA macromers) and methods for preparing amino acid-based poly(ester amide) (PEA) macromers. The functional PEA macromers can comprise functional groups such as hydroxyl, amine, sulfonic acids, carboxyl, thiol and acryloyl at the two terminuses of the PEA macromers. The content of the terminal functional groups on the macromers can be precisely controlled by adjusting the molar ratio of reactive monomers. The resulting versatility of these new functional PEA macromers can be used to fabricate a wide range of PEAs and PEA hybrid derivatives with very different chemical, physical, mechanical, thermal and biological properties. The functional PEA macromers can also be polycondensed into forming block PEA polymers.

PREPREG, PREPREG LAMINATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING PREPREG
The present invention relates to a prepreg which contains an oriented liquid crystal polymer and a base that uses a continuous carbon fiber bundle as a forming material. The liquid crystal polymer is a thermotropic liquid crystal polymer and the base is included in an amount of at least 25 parts by mass but not more than 550 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the liquid crystal polymer.
COMPOSITE CARBON FIBERS
Provided is composite carbon fibers in which polymers having an amino containing group are covalently bonded to the surface of the carbon fiber. Aspects are also directed to processes for preparing the composite carbon fibers. Additional aspects are directed to reinforced composites comprising a resin matrix and the composite carbon fibers, and to processes of making such reinforced composites.
MICROWAVE FOAMING
The present invention relates to a process for foaming thermoplastic elastomers comprising a blowing agent, where the elastomer is heated by means of electromagnetic radiation to such an extent that the elastomer at least partly melts and foams to give a foam, wherein the frequency of the electromagnetic radiation is in the range from 0.01 GHz to 300 GHz. Further subject matter encompasses materials suitable for this process and the use thereof.
