BINDERS
The present invention relates to binder compositions with improved amine components, and a method of manufacturing a collection of matter bound by said binder compositions.
COMPOSITE CARBON FIBERS
Provided is composite carbon fibers in which polymers having an amino containing group are covalently bonded to the surface of the carbon fiber. Aspects are also directed to processes for preparing the composite carbon fibers. Additional aspects are directed to reinforced composites comprising a resin matrix and the composite carbon fibers, and to processes of making such reinforced composites.
GOLF BALL MATERIAL, GOLF BALL, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING GOLF BALL MATERIAL
A golf ball material which includes (A) a resin mixture containing as the base resin an acid copolymer in which from 90 to 100 mol % of the acid groups are neutralized with metal ions, and (B) an oxazoline group-containing polymer has a low hardness and a soft feel, and moreover possesses a high rebound resilience. This golf ball material is particularly useful when formed as the intermediate layer in a golf ball having a core, an intermediate layer and an outermost layer with numerous dimples formed on the surface thereof.
Cross-linked polymers and implants derived from electrophilically activated polyoxazoline
A biocompatible, covalently cross-linked, polymer that is obtained by reacting an electrophilically activated polyoxazoline (EL-PDX) with a nucleophilic cross-linking agent is disclosed. The EL-PDX comprises m electrophilic groups; and the nucleophilic cross-linking agent comprises n nucleophilic groups, wherein the m electrophilic groups are capable of reacting with the n nucleophilic groups to form covalent bonds; wherein m2, n2 and m+n5; wherein at least one of the m electrophilic groups is a pendant electrophilic group and/or wherein m3; and wherein the EL-PDX comprises an excess amount of electrophilic groups relative to the amount of nucleophilic groups contained in the nucleophilic cross-linking agent. Biocompatible medical products and kits comprising the cross-linked PDX-polymers are also disclosed.
THERMOSETTING RESIN COMPOSITION, PREPREG, LAMINATED BOARD, PRINTED WIRING BOARD, AND HIGH-SPEED COMMUNICATION-COMPATIBLE MODULE
A thermosetting resin composition containing: (A) an addition reaction product of a maleimide compound having at least two N-substituted maleimide groups in one molecule (a1) and an amine compound having at least two primary amino groups in one molecule (a2), (B) a thermoplastic elastomer, and (C) a copolymer resin having a structural unit derived from an aromatic vinyl compound and a structural unit derived from a carboxylic acid anhydride.
POLYANILINES AND METHODS THEREOF
The present disclosure provides polyanilines, articles thereof, and methods of forming polyanilines. In at least one aspect, a polyaniline has a thermal stability of about 100? C. or greater, a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of from about 50,000 g/mol to about 150,000 g/mol and a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) of from about 1 to about 5. In at least one aspect, a film includes a polyaniline, the film having a hydrocarbon content of about 1 wt % or less, based on the total weight of the film. In at least one aspect, a method includes introducing an emulsion of an aqueous solution of an aniline and an alkyl-substituted aryl sulfonic acid having 1 wt % or less of hydrocarbon content into a flow reactor, the flow reactor having a length of tubing having an inner diameter. The method includes polymerizing the monomer within the tube to form a polyaniline.
