Surface modification method based on polymerization and cross-linking solidification of dopamine and/or derivatives thereof
The present invention provides a surface modification method based on the polymerization and cross-linking solidification of dopamine and/or its derivatives, which belongs to the technical field about composite material fabrication. The principle of dopamine polymerization and the formation process of polydopamine coating layer are the foundation of the present invention. This innovative method is established after deeply analyzing the failure mechanism of polydopamine coating layer in severe environments, such as organic solvents and acidic/alkalic environments. The critical work is finding out an eligible cross-linking agent which could react with the active functional groups in polydopamine. After cross-linking reaction, the soluble low-molecular-weight dopamine oligomers could be transformed into the insoluble three-dimensional stereographic networks. In this instance, the interaction between polydopamine molecules, and the adhesion between polydopamine coating layer and substrate materials, can be significantly strengthened. After the cross-linking solidification, the hydrophilic polydopamine coating layer could be stable and effective for long-term utilization in severe environments, e.g., organic solvents and acidic/alkalic environments, and thereby expand the application scope of the surface modification method based on dopamine polymerization greatly.

Nanostructured polyelectrolytes for ion-selective membranes
Nanostructured polyelectrolyte bilayers deposited by Layer-by-Layer deposition on nanoporous membranes can be selectively crosslinked to modify the polyelectrolyte charge density and control ionic selectivity independent of ionic conductivity. For example, the polyelectrolyte bilayer can comprise a cationic polymer layer, such as poly(ethyleneimine), and an anionic polymer layer, such as poly(acrylic acid). Increasing the number of bilayers increases the cation selectivity when the poly(ethyleneimine) layer is crosslinked with glutaraldehyde. Crosslinking the membranes also increases the chemical and mechanical strength of the polyelectrolyte films. This controllable and inexpensive method can be used to create ion-selective and mechanically robust membranes on porous supports for a wide range of applications.
Method for producing a composite plastic part (CK)
The invention relates to a method for producing a composite plastic part (CK). A first fiber material (F1) is impregnated with a polyamide matrix polymer (PAM), thereby obtaining a matrix composition (MZ), onto which a surface composition (OZ) is applied, and a first plastic component (K1) is obtained. In a second step, a second plastic component (K2) is molded on the first plastic component (K1), whereby the composite plastic part (CK) is obtained. The invention further relates to the composite plastic part (CK) which can be obtained using the method according to the invention. The invention additionally relates to the use of polyethyleneimine (PEI) for improving the impregnation of the first fiber material (F1) with the polyamide matrix polymer (PAM).
