Methods And Compositions For Adhering Polysulfides Or Polythioethers to Thermoplastic Or Thermoset Materials
Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for preparing a surface comprising thermoplastic or thermoset material to receive a polysulfide or polythioether sealant or coating, the method comprising applying to the surface an activating composition consisting of a tetraalkoxide of a Group 4 metal, a complex of an alkoxide of a Group 4 metal, or a combination thereof.

The present relates to flame-retardant expandable polymers and to polymer foams and to the use thereof. These flame-retardant expandable polymers and polymer foams can be contained in one or several pressurized containers. According to the present, at least one of the following phosphorus compounds is used as a flame retardant: phosphorus compound according to formula (Ia): (Ia) 10-hydroxy-9, 10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO-OH); or the salts thereof according to formula (Ib): (Ib) (DOPO-OR); or the ring-opened hydrolysates thereof according to formula (Ic): (Ic).

A molding material is provided including a composite having 1 to 50 wt % of (A) a bundle of continuous reinforcing fibers and 0.1 to 40 wt % of (B) a polyarylene sulfide prepolymer or (B) a polyarylene sulfide; and 10 to 98.9 wt % of (C) a thermoplastic resin adhered to the composite; wherein the composite further has (D) a zero-valent transition metal compound or (E) a low-valent iron compound in an amount of 0.001 to 20 mol % based on the amount of sulfur atoms contained in the component (B) or (B). A prepreg and a method of producing a fiber-reinforced molding base material is also provided. By using the molding material according to the present invention which exhibits excellent economic efficiency and productivity, a molded article having excellent mechanical characteristics can be easily produced.

An object of the present invention is to provide a particulate composite which is free from fluorosurfactants having a high environmental impact, and can form a coating film that has excellent adhesion to a substrate and is uniformly adhered to the substrate even if containing a small amount of an adhesive component. The particulate composite of the present invention contains: a fluoropolymer; an adhesive polymer; and less than 0.1 ppm of a fluorosurfactant.

Provided is a means for capable of providing a product, which has favorable workability, segregation stability, storage stability, and the like, penetrates into a gap in a coil portion, an interface in casing, and the like without any gaps, enhances thermal conductivity/heat dissipation properties of a molded product thus obtained, and is excellent in electrical characteristics, toughness/elastic modulus, thermal resistance, thermal cycle properties, and the like, in the case of using the product for a cast molding resin, a potting material (sealing material), an adhesive, grease, and the like. Provided is a filler-loaded high thermal conductive dispersion liquid composition being formed by uniformly dispersing a powder composition, which contains organic polymer particles containing thermoplastic polymer particles, and high thermal conductive filler particles which contain filler particles having a graphite-like structure and is obtained by pulverizing 5 to 70 parts by weight of the organic polymer particles and 30 to 95 parts by weight of the high thermal conductive filler particles with respect to 100 parts by weight of the total amount of these components by using a pulverizing machine, which performs grinding with frictional force or impact force, to cause delamination or cohesive failure while maintaining an average planar particle size of the filler particles having a graphite-like structure, in the powder composition, the vicinity of the high thermal conductive filler particles being covered with the micronized organic polymer particles and the covered particles being uniformly dispersed, using 25 to 250 parts by weight of a liquid reactive dispersing medium and/or a dispersing medium containing a thermoplastic polymer having a deflection temperature under load or a melting point lower than that of the thermoplastic polymer used in the powder composition with respect to 100 parts by weight of the powder composition, and the dispersion liquid composition having conditions that a thermal conductive infinite cluster exhibiting a thermal conductivity of 1 to 35 W/mK is formed and a concentration of the high thermal conductive filler particles is equal to or more than a percolation threshold.

Polyarylene sulfide resin composition, molded article obtained by molding same, laminate, and production method thereof
The present invention is a molded article containing a polyarylene sulfide resin, a thermoplastic resin other than the polyarylene sulfide resin, and a metal oxide containing at least one of copper or chromium. The polyarylene sulfide resin forms a continuous phase, and a dispersed phase containing the thermoplastic resin and the metal oxide is present in the continuous phase. The present invention is also a polyarylene sulfide resin composition for providing it, a molded article having a roughened surface, a laminate of the molded article and metal, and methods for producing them. According to the present invention, there is provided a molded article that has superior heat resistance of a polyarylene sulfide resin, on which the speed of plating deposition is practical, and with which a laminate with potentially maintained adhesiveness of plating can be obtained and a method for producing it, as well as a polyarylene sulfide resin composition.
REVERSIBLE CROSSLINKED FOAM ARTICLE AND PROCESS
The present disclosure is directed to a foam article. In an embodiment, the foam article includes a crosslinked foam composition formed from starting materials comprising (i) a polymer selected from the group consisting of an ethylene-based polymer, a polar ethylene-based polymer, and combinations thereof, and (ii) 2, 2, 6, 6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl methacrylate disulfide (BiTEMPS) methacrylate. This yields a foam article that is composed of a crosslinked composition comprising (i) the polymer selected from the group consisting of the ethylene-based polymer, the polar ethylene-based polymer, and combinations thereof, and (ii) linkages having a Structure (2) below
