PIGMENTABLE NON-ASPHALTIC SEALANT COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED LOW TEMPERATURE PROPERTIES
A pigmentable non-asphaltic composition for use as a sealant for cracks and joints in pavement surfaces, and for other purposes, and a method of forming the composition wherein (a) the composition comprises a non-asphaltic base blend which uses one or more tree rosin esters and (b) the low temperature properties of the composition, such as ductility and flexural creep stiffness, are enhanced by incorporating distilled tall oil and/or other low temperature property enhancing additives.

The present invention discloses a preparation method of scribing rubber cement of a tire tread. The scribing rubber cement of the tire tread is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts of natural rubber; 3.5 to 4.5 parts of zinc oxide; 1.5 to 2.5 parts of stearic acid; 15 to 25 parts of titanium white; 2.5 to 3.5 parts of insoluble sulfur; 0.9 to 1.1 parts of accelerant DM; 0.9 to 1.1 parts of rosin; and 15 to 25 parts of color masterbatch. The preparation method of the scribing rubber cement comprises the following steps: step 1) preparing rubber compound; and step 2) preparing the scribing rubber cement. The scribing rubber cement of the tire tread prepared by the present invention has high aesthetic degree and does not influence the product quality.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYMER LATEX
A method for producing a polymer latex, includes a step of emulsifying a polymer solution of a synthetic polyisoprene and/or a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, in water in the presence of a rosin and/or a rosin metal salt, thereby obtaining an emulsified liquid, wherein the rosin and/or the rosin metal salt to be used have/has a total content rate of abietic acid, neoabietic acid and palustric acid, and salts thereof, of 5% by weight or less.
Tire composition and method for making thereof
The disclosure relates to a composition for use in tires. The rubber composition comprises a blend of a rubber component and based on 100 parts by weight (phr) of the rubber component, from 50 to 200 phr of a filler, from 0 to 25 phr of a plasticizer, and from 5 to 90 phr dimeric decarboxylated rosin (DDCR). The DDCR resin comprises 50 to 100 wt. % of polycyclic hydrocarbon compounds having one or more aliphatic, unsaturated, or aromatic groups, and 34-80 carbon atoms, with a molecular weight M.sub.n of 250-900 Da, a polydispersity index of 1.0-1.35, and an oxygen to carbon ratio of <5%.
Resin-extended rubber composition and tire rubber compositions prepared therewith
A process for the preparation of a shaped rubber composition comprising combining a rubber compound with an extender compound to produce a mixture; drying the mixture to produce a dried mixture; and shaping the mixture wherein the extender compound comprises a natural or hydrocarbon resin, which possesses a glass transition temperature of at equal to or greater than about 70 C. and an acid value of 50 mg KOH/g or less and wherein the mixture is shaped into particles or bales.

The present invention discloses a preparation method of scribing rubber cement of a tire tread. FUNCTIONALIZED PARTICULATE BICARBONATE AS BLOWING AGENT, FOAMABLE POLYMER COMPOSITON CONTAINING IT, AND ITS USE IN MANUFACTURING A THERMOPLASTIC FOAMED POLYMER
A chemical blowing agent for foaming a thermoplastic polymer, for example PVC plastisol or a polymer resin in an extrusion process, comprising a functionalized particulate bicarbonate containing at least one additive, preferably excluding an exothermic blowing agent. The additive may be selected from the group consisting of polymers; inorganic salts; oils; fats; resin acids, any derivative thereof, and salts thereof; amino acids; fatty acids; carboxylic or polycarboxylic acids, soaps; waxes; derivatives thereof; salts thereof; or any combinations thereof. The particulate bicarbonate may be functionalized by spray-drying, coating, extrusion or co-grinding with at least one additive. The functionalized particulate bicarbonate may comprise 50 wt % to less than 100 wt % of the bicarbonate component, and 0.02-50 wt % of the additive. A foamable polymer composition comprising such chemical blowing agent. A process for manufacturing a foamed polymer, such as foamed PVC, comprising shaping and heating the foamable polymer composition, and a foamed polymer obtained by such process.

A chloroprene polymer latex containing: a chloroprene polymer, at least one selected from the group consisting of rosin acid, sodium rosinate, and potassium rosinate; and at least one selected from the group consisting of sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide, in which a toluene insoluble content of the chloroprene polymer is 10% by mass or less, and a weight average molecular weight of a toluene soluble content is 5,000 to 200,000.

One embodiment of the present invention relates to a chloroprene copolymer latex, a method for producing a chloroprene copolymer latex, a chloroprene copolymer latex composition, and a molded article or dipped product of a chloroprene copolymer rubber. The chloroprene copolymer latex is a latex of a chloroprene copolymer including monomer units derived from 2-chloro-1,3-butadiene (chloroprene) and monomer units derived from 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene, wherein the tetrahydrofuran insoluble content in the chloroprene copolymer is 20% by mass or less, and the proportion of the monomer units derived from 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene is 10 to 27 mol % in the chloroprene copolymer.
