RECYCLED AND RENEWABLE POLYMERIC COMPOSITION FOR COMPUTER CHASSIS
Polymeric compositions, methods of making the compositions, and composites, such as computer chassis containing the compositions are described. The polymeric compositions can contain 20 wt. % to 50 wt. % of a post-consumer mechanical recycled polycarbonate; 10 wt. % to 50 wt. % of a renewably sourced polycarbonate; 10 wt. % to 30 wt. % of a filler containing carbon fibers, wherein at least a portion of the carbon fibers are obtained from a post-industrial recycled source; and 5 wt. % to 15 wt. % of a flame retardant, wherein the polymeric compositions have a total recycled and renewable content of 50 wt. % to 90 wt. %.

The invention relates to an additive composition comprising at least one hydroxycarboxylic acid salt and at least one organic phosphorus compound, said composition being capable of accelerating the hydrolytic decomposition of a thermoplastic condensation polymer upon working said additive composition into the condensation polymer. The invention additionally relates to a condensation polymer composition which is additivized with an additive composition according to the invention. The invention additionally relates to a method for the hydrolytic decomposition of a thermoplastic condensation polymer and to uses of the additive composition according to the invention and the thermoplastic condensation polymer composition.
RESIN COMPOSITION AND RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE
A resin composition includes a polycarbonate resin; a reaction product of a glycidyl group-containing polyethylene copolymer and a polyethylene terephthalate resin; an unreacted polyethylene terephthalate resin that is not subjected to a reaction with the glycidyl group-containing polyethylene copolymer; an organic phosphorous flame retardant; and a flame retardant antidrip agent, wherein in a resin phase separation structure observed by an electron microscope, the polycarbonate resin and the unreacted polyethylene terephthalate resin form a continuous phase, the reaction product forms a dispersed phase, and a specific surface area of the dispersed phase is 2 or greater.

The present invention provides a resin composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of epoxy resin; (B) from 10 to 80 parts by weight of benzoxazine resin; (C) from 10 to 50 parts by weight of dicyclopentadiene phenol resin; and (D) from 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of amine hardener; wherein the resin composition is free of diallyl bisphenol A (DABPA).

The present invention relates to a flame retardant resin composition having excellent flame retardancy and improved thermal deformation properties, and a flame retardant resin molded article manufactured therefrom, and provides a flame retardant resin composition including a) a base resin including a polyarylene ether-based polymer; an aromatic vinyl-based polymer and a copolymer of vinylcyan monomer-conjugated diene monomer-aromatic vinyl monomer; b) an organophosphorus-based flame retardant; c) a hypophosphite compound; and d) a sulfur-containing compound including at least two sulfur atoms, wherein b) the organophosphorus-based flame retardant, c) the hypophosphite compound and d) the sulfur-containing compound are included in a weight ratio of 15 to 24:2 to 4:2 to 5.

POLYESTERS PREPARED FROM 1,1-DIESTER-1-ALKENES CONTAINING A STRONG ACID AND STABILIZER
Disclosed are compositions comprising polyesters containing a chain of residue of: diols and diesters along the chain, wherein at least a portion of the diesters are 1, 1-diester-1-alkenes, and the chains have alkene groups incorporated into the chains; the composition comprising one or more of the following: i ether groups derived from alcohols, diols, polyols, or a combination thereof obtained via Michael addition to the alkene groups and a residue of the alkene groups remaining after Michael addition; ii the formed polyesters contain one percent or less of residual 1, 1-diester-1-alkene which are unreacted; iii one or more free radical inhibitors; and iv a stabilizer comprising one or more of: oxo acids phosphorous or esters thereof, aluminum sulfate, stannous pyrophosphate, stannous sulfate, aluminum dihydrogenphosphate or decomposition products thereof. The stabilizer is present in an amount sufficient to enhance stability of the polyester without lowering reactivity of the polyester.
