CELLULOSE-CONTAINING MATERIALS
Disclosed is a process for solubilising cellulose and coagulating the resulting solution to form a cellulose-containing material. The process comprises contacting a cellulose source with a solvent comprising zinc ions and formic acid to provide a solution, coagulating the solution to provide a solid material, treating the solid material, and isolating the solid material after treatment, to provide the cellulose-containing material. The process can further comprise solubilising protein and coagulating the resulting solution to form a cellulose/protein-containing material. The cellulose-containing materials and cellulose/protein-containing materials can be produced, for example, as reconstituted fibres and films.
Glue-free Adhesive Eyeleashes
An aqueous base, glue-free composition is comprised of an effective amount of ingredients (e.g., arabic gum, casein and polyvinylpyrrolidone) which exhibit sticky adhesion properties which do not tightly bind so as to allow an eyelash extension to be removably attached to a natural eyelash without the need for use of adhesive remover composition.

BIODEGRADABLE THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL MADE FROM CASEIN AND/OR CASEINATE
A casein and/or caseinate based biodegradable thermoplastic. In particular, a biodegradable thermoplastic which includes: a) between 50 and 80% casein and/or caseinate, preferably between 55 and 70%; b) between 4 and 12% water, preferably between 5 and 11%; c) between 10 and 35% of at least one plasticizer different from b), preferably between 15 and 28%; d) between 0.1 and 8% of a hydrophobic agent, preferably between 1 and 4%; e) between 0.5 and 6% of at least one surfactant, preferably between 2 and 4%.

The invention relates to a binder for cellulose-containing materials which contains a) hydroxyaldehyde, b) a protein-containing component of animal origin and c) a component comprising phenolic oligomers. The invention likewise relates to the use of the binder according to the invention for producing a composite material, to a process for producing a composite material and to a composite material obtainable by the process according to the invention.

Soluble calcium stabilised in an anionic-cationic polymer and fructans
The present invention provides processes that promote the solvation of calcium ions in macromolecular matrices. Processes in which the relationship, concentration, physicochemical conditions at each stage and preparation methods allow to obtain a stabilized soluble product, based on calcium salts and polymers. The present invention does not result in the deposition of crystals of the salts used, and exceeds the commercial calcium formulations so they are of great utility for their application in the food, pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic industry.
Adhesive
An aqueous adhesive composition and a process for preparing such compositions are disclosed. The composition comprises macromolecular complex comprising (A) a first component comprising (i) a framework element and (ii) a polyphenol, and (B) second component comprising a polypeptide, oligopeptide, amino acid, or polyamine. The framework element comprises (a) a polypeptide, oligopeptide, amino acid, or polyamine, (b) a polysaccharide, oligosaccharide, or monosaccharide, or a saccharide conjugate, or (c) a lignin, a lignan or a lignin conjugate. The polyphenol comprises a tannin, a tannic acid, a flavonoid, or a poly-resorcinol. An adhesive precursor composition comprising the first component is also disclosed.
