Disclosed herein is a kit-of-parts for preparation of a curable coating composition including in a first container an isocyanate-reactive compound (A) including a polyaspartic acid ester compound, in a second container a polyisocyanate (B), and in a third container a solvent (S1) selected from the group consisting of monoalcohols and alkoxymonoalcohols, where UVA and/or HALS additives are optionally contained in the first and/or third container, and a second solvent (S2) is optionally contained in the second or third container. Further disclosed herein are a coating composition prepared from the kit-of-parts, a process for preparing at least one coating on an optionally pretreated and optionally precoated substrate, and coated substrates derived therefrom.
ROTOMOLDING COMPOSITION
A rotomolding composition comprises a blend of two polyethylenes: 1) a well stabilized polyethylene; and 2) a poorly stabilized polyethylene having a very low flow rate. The poorly stabilized polyethylene is further characterized by having a large particle size (from 500 to 3000 microns). Rotomolded parts prepared from the composition have a rough inner surface. Polyurethane foam adheres well to this rough surface.
UPGRADED RECYCLED POLYOLEFIN
Upgraded recycling polyolefin composition including a styrene-grafted polypropylene compatibilizer.
EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITION WITH EPOXY GROUPS AND ACTIVE HYDROGENS HAVING DIFFERENT MOLAR EQUIVALENTS
An epoxy resin composition with epoxy groups and active hydrogens having different molar equivalents includes an epoxy resin component and a curing agent component. A mixing ratio of the epoxy resin component and the curing agent component is a mixing ratio of a cured product with the highest glass transition temperature Tg among cured products with different mixing ratios measured experimentally. According to a weight percentage in a total weight of the epoxy resin component, the epoxy resin component includes: 50 wt % to 100 wt % of a bisphenol A epoxy resin. According to a weight percentage in a total weight of the curing agent component, the curing agent component includes: 60 wt % to 98 wt % of polyetheramine (PEA) and 2 wt % to 20 wt % of a low-viscosity Mannich base.
Polymer compositions comprising crystalline polymers and a stabilizer composition
This invention relates to a polymer composition comprising: (A) at least one semi-crystalline polymer, and (B) a stabilizer composition comprising: (1) at least one primary antioxidant comprising at least one phenolic antioxidant; and (2) at least one secondary antioxidant comprising at least one phosphite, and (3) at least one chain extending agent; wherein the b* value for said polymer composition is less than 10 according to the L*, a* and b* color system of the CIE (International Commission on Illumination) after being heated for at least three hours at 200° C. or 24 hours at 175° C.
Polycarbonate resin lens and polycarbonate resin composition
The lens of the present invention includes an indole-based compound represented by General Formula (1), and a polycarbonate resin having a weight average molecular weight of 40,000 to 60,000, wherein the content of the indole-based compound is 0.01 to 0.8 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polycarbonate resin, ##STR00001##
Color stable and low wear polymer composition and articles made therefrom
A colorized and tribologically modified polyoxymethylene polymer composition is disclosed. The polyoxymethylene polymer composition is comprised of a polyoxymethylene polymer in combination with at least one tribological modifier. The tribological modifier may include a fluoropolymer. The polymer composition further contains at least one coloring agent in combination with a color stabilizer. The color stabilizer has been found to dramatically improve color consistency. Polymer articles molded from the polymer composition not only have excellent surface appearance but have excellent low friction characteristics when tested against aluminum.
