Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of cast vinyl film and, more particularly, to a method and system to provide a repositionable translucent cast vinyl film with an air-egress adhesive layer. In one aspect, a method includes mixing a solvent based polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol with a stabilizer and an additive to get a desired shade of pellucid tint of a translucent thermoplastic stretch wrap film. Further, the method includes casting the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol onto a film carrier and moving the film carrier through a plurality of ovens at varying temperatures to cure into a solid film. The cured solid film is laminated to an air-egress liner casted with a solvent-borne acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide ease of installation. The adhesive includes an air release patterning to allow escape of air from back of the film while repositioning the film around a complex shaped surface.

An object of the invention is to provide a material comprising ultrafine cellulose fibers, having good dispersibility of fine particles in an aqueous medium containing ultrafine cellulose fibers. According to the invention, there is provided a material comprising ultrafine cellulose fibers, wherein the content of the ultrafine cellulose fibers is 80% by mass or more, and the haze value of a sample, which has been prepared by adding the material comprising ultrafine cellulose fibers to pure water to a solid concentration of 0.4% by mass, and stirring the mixture with a disperser under conditions of 1500 rpm and 5 minutes, is 20% or less.

Tung oil-based non-lapping water-compatible wood stain

Water-based stains are based on an oil-in-water emulsion having a binder that includes, consists of, or consists essentially of drying oil combined with a non-aqueous polymer dispersion. The compositions can be tinted using traditional water-based pigment dispersions, yet the overall hydrophobicity results in minimal interaction with the polar cellulosic structure of wood.

High-χ block copolymers for directed self-assembly
11078337 · 2021-08-03 · ·

The present invention is broadly concerned with novel directed self-assembly compositions, processes utilizing those compositions, and the resulting structures that are formed. The composition comprises a block copolymer of polystyrene and a polymethylmethacrylate block with polylactic acid side chains (“PS-b-P(MMA-LA)”). The block copolymer is capable of crosslinking and micro-phase separating into lines and spaces measuring about 10-nm or smaller with sub-20 nm L.sub.0 capability. Additionally, PS-b-P(MMA-LA) can be thermally annealed without a top-coat for simpler processing than the prior art. The polylactic acid side chains also increase the etch rate of the poly(methylmethacrylate) block when exposed to oxygen plasma, as well as lower the T.sub.g.

Gel-type thermal interface material

A thermal interface material that is useful in transferring heat from heat generating electronic devices, such as computer chips, to heat dissipating structures, such as heat spreaders and heat sinks. The thermal interface material comprises at least one silicone oil, at least one catalyst, at least one thermally conductive filler having a larger surface area, a solvent, at least one inhibitor, and at least one crosslinker. The at least one thermally conductive filler reduces the oil leakage of the TIM, and the solvent increases the flow rate of the TIM without negating the reduction of oil leakage realized by the thermally conductive fillers.
