The present invention relates to the technical field of composite materials comprising a thermosetting polymer matrix in which thermoplastic polymer and/or elastomer particles are dispersed. More precisely, the invention relates to a novel type of polymeric material obtained by using a particular ionic liquid as cross-linking agent for an epoxy resin mixed with a thermoplastic polymer and/or an elastomer. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing said composite material and uses thereof, notably in the aeronautical, aerospace, automotive, maritime, wind power, electronics, or sports and leisure sectors.
Modified polyolefin resin
Provided is a modified polyolefin resin that is excellent in adhesion to nonpolar substrates such as a polyolefin substrate, and excellent in stability in an alcohol solvent. In the modified polyolefin resin, the following polymer (A) is grafted on the following resin (B). Polymer (A): a polymer including at least one constitutional unit selected from the group consisting of a constitutional unit derived from an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and a constitutional unit derived from a derivative of an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, and having a hydroxyl value in a range of 10 mgKOH/g or larger and 200 mgKOH/g or smaller. Resin (B): a polyolefin resin or a modified product thereof.
Dip formable solutions and dispersions and articles made therefrom
This invention relates to eco-friendly dip formable solutions and dispersions for making dip formed articles. Some embodiments of the invention include coatable, dip formable, or emulsifiable solution composition comprising one or more styrenic block copolymers in cyclic natural terpenes, such as citrus peel extract which can be used to form an article. In some embodiments dip formable solutions and dispersions comprise of styrenated block copolymers and polyolefins. In some embodiments the styrenated block copolymers are saturated, unsaturated, or a blend. In some embodiments, the styrenated block copolymers comprises an oil or a plasticizer. In some embodiments the articles are made from an emulsion. In some embodiments the articles are made from a plastisol.
NATURAL RUBBER SKIM BLOCK IN ASPHALT COMPOSITIONS AND NON-ASPHALT SOLVENT-BASED COATINGS
A skim block composition includes a carrier mixed with a skim block addition, the skim block addition including from 0 to less than 100 wt % synthetic polymer, and from greater than 0 to 100% skim block. This provides productive use for the typical waste product skim block, which is the neutralized and coagulated product of skim latex formed during the production of natural rubber latex concentrate by centrifugation.
Method for preparing active carbon-based special synthetic paper
A method for preparing active carbon-based special synthetic paper capable of degrading harmful substances in environment, including: stirring polyurethane particles and a solvent in a reactor, and standing to completely dissolve the polyurethane particles to obtain a polyurethane solution; adding active carbon having harmful substances adsorption property in the obtained polyurethane solution, stirring and mixing uniformly to obtain a solid-liquid mixture; coating the obtained solid-liquid mixture onto a piece of release paper, soaking the release paper coated with the solid-liquid mixture into an aqueous solution of silver nitrate having photocatalytic degradation property, completely curing the solid-liquid mixture to form a film, and soaking the release paper and the film into an aqueous solution of sodium chloride; drying the obtained release paper and the film in an electric blast drying oven, and stripping the film from the release paper to obtain the active carbon-based special synthetic paper.

A method for inhibiting the permeation of water in an extraction well of a hydrocarbon fluid from an underground reservoir is described. The method includes the injection of at least one treatment fluid into the underground reservoir. The treatment fluid contains at least one emulsion or dispersion in an organic solvent of at least one copolymer of a first monomer of an acrylic monomer or a methacrylic monomer, and a second monomer having at least one ethylene unsaturation and at least one polyoxyethylene chain. The emulsion or dispersion of the copolymer used in the method is also described.

Process for the preparation of graphene dispersions
The present invention refers to a process for the preparation of a graphene dispersion comprising the following steps: i) providing cellulose acetate flakes or powders; ii) swelling the cellulose acetate flakes or powders in an alcohol having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms; iii) adding acetic anhydride in a concentration range from 30 to 50 wt % referred to the total weight of the mixture; iv) adding graphene nanoplatelets to yield a graphene dispersion. The graphene dispersion is used as ink for composite materials that are employed in the field of foldable electronics. The invention relates also to a composite material comprising uniformly dispersed graphene nanoplatelets and its use for manufacturing electronic devices.
Crude oil dispersion stabilizer
Provided is a crude oil dispersion stabilizer containing a vinyl alcohol-based polymer, wherein a degree of saponification of the vinyl alcohol-based polymer is greater than 70 mol % and 82 mol % or less, and the total content of carboxyl groups and lactone rings is 0.02 to 1 mol % relative to all structural units of the vinyl alcohol-based polymer. According to this, there is provided a crude oil dispersion stabilizer capable of dispersing or emulsifying a highly viscous crude oil, thereby reducing the viscosity and allowing the resulting crude oil dispersion liquid or emulsion to be present stably for a long time.
