The resin composition includes a liquid crystal polyester resin (A) and a filler (B), in which (1) liquid crystal polyester resin (A) contains a structural unit (I) derived from 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid, a structural unit (II) derived from an aromatic diol compound, and a structural unit (III) derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid compound, wherein structural unit (III) contains a structural unit (IIIA) derived from terephthalic acid and/or a structural unit (IIIB) derived from 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, (2) 40% by mol≤structural unit (I)≤75% by mol, 12% by mol≤structural unit (II)≤30% by mol, and 12% by mol≤structural unit (III)≤30% by mol, (3) filler (B) is at least one of silica, mica, and talc, and (4) the resin composition has a dielectric tangent of 1.0×10.sup.−3 or less as measured by a cavity resonator perturbation method at 10 GHz.
Aromatic polymer composition for use in a camera module
A polymer composition that contains an aromatic polymer in combination with a tribological formulation is provided. The polymer composition may exhibit a low degree of surface friction that minimizes the extent to which a skin layer is peeled off during use of a part containing the composition (e.g., in a camera module). For example, the polymer composition may exhibit a dynamic coefficient of friction of about 1.0 or less and/or a wear depth may be about 500 micrometers or less as determined in accordance with VDA 230-206:2007.
POLYIMIDE FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A polyimide film with improved dielectric and mechanical properties includes a polyimide layer with a liquid crystal structure which incorporates liquid crystal polymer powder. The polyimide layer is formed by a condensation reaction applied to dianhydride and diamine monomers, at least one of the dianhydride monomer and the diamine monomer having the liquid crystal structure. A method for manufacturing the polyimide film is also disclosed.

and (B-3) a repeating unit of formula (III), ##STR00003## R.sup.1 to R.sup.22, m, n, o, and p in formulas (I) to (III) are as defined in the specification, wherein based on the total moles of the repeating units (B-1) to (B-3), the content of the repeating unit (B-2) is 19 mol % to 36 mol %, and wherein the weight ratio of the cyclic olefin copolymer (B) to the unsaturated monomer (A) is 0.5 to 7.
BIO-BASED POLYMER COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THEREOF
Disclosed are polymeric compositions comprising polyhydroxyalkanoates. These compositions can comprise a blend comprising a polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) polymer, and a rubber polymer. The blend can comprise a biphasic mixture comprising a first phase comprising the PHA polymer, and a second phase comprising the rubber polymer dispersed with the first phase. The rubber polymer can be crosslinked, for example, through reaction with a free radical initiator. By incorporating the dynamically crosslinked rubber polymer, the polymer composition can exhibit one or more improved characteristics relative to PHA alone, including improved thermal stability, improved melt strength, improved flexibility, improved toughness, or a combination thereof. Also provided are articles formed at least in part from these polymeric compositions, as well as methods of making these polymeric compositions.
CONDUCTIVE MOULDING COMPOUNDS
The present invention relates to a moulding compound which contains at least 50 wt. % of a semicrystalline poly amide component and the moulding compound contains a filler which imparts conductivity to the moulding compound, wherein the moulding compound does not have a crystallite melting point (Tm) below 50° C. and the polyamide component contains components A and B, A) PA homopolymer of the type PA X.Y or PAZ, where X is a diamine radical (DA), Y is a dicarboxyl radical (DC), and Z is an alpha-omega amino acid radical; B) PA copolymer of the type PA X′.Y′, where X is a diamine radical (DA′) and Y′ is a dicarboxyl radical (DC′); wherein a portion of the diamine radical (DA′) is replaced by a polyether having at least two amino termini or at least two hydroxy termini; wherein the proportion of polyether in the sum of components A and Bis between 0.5 and 15 wt. % and wherein the proportion of filler is 2.5 to 6 wt. % based on the total mass of the poly amide component and the filler. The invention also relates to a method for producing same and using same, and to hollow profiles comprising same.
MASTERBATCH OF HIGHLY LOADED AMORPHOUS PHA DISPERSED IN AMORPHOUS OR SEMI-CRYSTALLINE POLYMER AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
An amorphous or semi-crystalline polymer/aPHA composition (masterbatch) has a high load of aPHA (30 to 50 wt % based on the total amount of the composition). A method for production of the composition includes two or more split feedings of the aPHA in a blending or mixing or compounding operation. The method includes feeding about 1-15 weight percent (wt %) of the total aPHA in a primary feed hopper of a blending or mixing or compounding apparatus and about 30-49 weight percent downstream in the process.
